Long story short: Content can be more challenging when its more gated, so please leave that challenge be. You have tones of stuff you can do "solo" or without a premade group in this game.

If it takes 4 hours to do 51-100 then something is very wrong. That's an average of 48 minutes per 10 floors, and my matched runs are rarely over 30 minutes per ten floors if everyone has over 60/60. Or did you mean 1-100? If so then why not just start at 51? You don't need the first 50 floors to get a good stash of Pomanders for 101+.

Have you been on floors 181+?
I feel like that would explain. The monster's difficulty doesn't lie in how long it takes for them to die (provided they don't die in 5 sec), it lies in how the party deals with their mechanics, and avoids being swarmed.
As for free intuitions: Hahahahahaha, if you think anything of floor 180+ difficulty is free and little effort. You forget receiving accursed hoard means looking all over the map/clearing way. Even if one gets lucky on say one floor or two and it's near the teleport by some chance, you need to clear 10 floors before you get all the rewards.
No one is going to finish it without knowing what they're doing.

The reason I suggested receiving pomanders is because frankly everyone farms and holds onto pomanders from the lower floors to be prepared for the harder parts. It's a lot harder and unrewarding without, but seeing as the pomander stack is meant to be used for more than one series of floors (in current farm parties), it'd make sense that the amount could be limited to 1 or two of each instead. You have to remember they also have to deal with the bosses of all the prior floors however, and pomanders aren't exactly unused for those.

I don't particularly care about the drop rate of valuable items, it could be lowered to account for the fact that it won't take so long just to reach the floor, I just don't want to do the braindead floors below just to get to interesting content.... and it'd mean not needing to coordinate for everyone to be online for more than one run. (which means being able to play it more often)

Sorry 2 1/2 - 3 hours, i.e. still one play session before you can even get into the content that you want to do.

The funny part of this is that there REALLY is NO reason to have it gated. You can choose what you want to do if you want to go it with fixed party that is YOUR choice. Don't try to dictate what I am doing based on what you want to do. No one is asking you to join a mixed party if YOU do not want to. You queue as you see fit. What is the big deal? I pay $$ and I want to have a choice that's called freedom of decision. Is there an amendment for that? How about “Freedom of Choice” is a fundamental right, grouped with a “Right to Privacy”. The Ninth Amendment alludes to it and the Fourteenth Amendment enforces it.

You're not seriously making your american laws arguments in this discussion, do you? They dont apply here, Freedom of Choice lies within SE/the devs and not you and how you want to play their game.
I explained already how it DOES influence the content wether its gated or not - and actually you're already able to do this content even if you dont have any friends who want to run it with you: Go in alone, thats an option.

I would prefer challenging content once in a while and if they open it up for DF, chances are, people expecting faceroll clears in there, getting upset when they dont get them and demand that the content gets nerfed. Why are you guys so upset about not being able to stick to your lonely wolf attitude AND seeing a minor part of the game? Is getting 1-3 more people to do stuff with you really that impossible for you?

The devs obviously saw a reason to have it gated - and its really their "Freedom of choice" that conuts here, not yours. You purchased their product but what that product exactly is is still up to them. Your Freedom of choice here is wether you want to pay for it or not - you're granted access to the game, nut guranteed access to every type of content...
