One Year Ago! - The thread

November 11th will be the 1 year anniversary of when I was suppose to receive my rites of passage, but never did...

I'll take an in game item instead of it, if you guys are reading this...

the majority of people that i know personally that left said they were leaving til there was more content. they did not say they were leaving because of not having auto attack or swimsuits.

You really must be a masochist type of person, Goldeen asked you in a good why do you still play a game that you dont like that much? if is getting worst everytime they put a patch on it, what are you doing here? take your time, go out, play another game, we're not giving you an order, we are telling you that you should try different games, at least for me im here because i like the game and i play everytime i can, im really excited to see what the new patch will bring everytime, so in a few words, give the game some time to grow a little patch 1.2 its supossed to be the golden patch that everyone is waiting, so if you dont like the game by that time get a new one.

everyone is waiting? do you honestly think so many people care about FFXIV that they dont want to paly it now, but they all cant wait until 1.19? the only people WAITING for 1.19 are the few who still play it. the rest of us are off playing red faction or eve

this post was not polite nor by goldeen, but it is the post that the quote you had actually comments on. i answered goldeens questions in another post. i did not mean to be rude to goldeen and if they took it that way i will apologize.

not nearly as far along as I had hoped it would be, but at least its not starting to look better. Get back to me next year and we will see :)

You honestly must be kidding, are you saying you liked how you had to click on every npc in the market wards just to see what they were selling? you liked it taking 30sec just to bring up your inv? you liked having 0 NMs, no instances, 0 side quests, with only class quests and main story to do? You liked randomly earning SP, sometimes getting nothing for a mob.

What ever. I dont understand how people think these days.

one year ago........

-You had to have your panties repaired by the NPC (OR you had to roll w/ a spare set so they could be repaired thru crafting)
-You had to search every single retainer in the wards to find an obscure part to finish a synth, only to find out it was ridiculously expensive because only 2 people on the server could make it.
-Everyone and their mother were packed into the starting and secondary camps for each city
-You couldn't skip cutscenes (LOL, I know the guy who posted the "sight for me sore eyes" was in closed beta)
-you got to hear about it in your chat box every time someone crafted something (or pulled something from gathering)
-There was horrible UI (Menu) lag. (10-15 minutes to make a trade, anyone?)
-There were random DC's during levequests/behests
-Everyone seemed to have a "don't attack red-named mob" macro
-Every 20 mins or so in town, there would be /shouts from people looking for shields
-People would spam shout w/offensive crap just to see how long it would take for them to get kicked
-Parties would fight high HP low attack mobs like Nannys to draw out every single kill as long as possible to increase chances of SP from more actions
-Every mage looked like a real-life trappist Monk (Cowls & Rope belts FTW)
-Practically every recipe was guess-work because the Lodestone recipes were fail (and YG/Zam etc were having a helluva time trying to catch up)
-We only started with ONE retainer
-We were unable to summon retainers from outside of wards
-There was no Sort function on inventory
-there were "emergency maintenance" patches and server outages like once every few days
-There were no Forums (although to be fair, there are some days when I wish they weren't here)

(that's all I got time for.......for now)

*Edit: wait.....I think i"m wrong. Weren't the Behests added later? If so ignore my behest items, and add in: "-We did not have behests"
