Good to know! Granted, I use it the same way you do and just turn it on when I start FFXIV and off when I'm done. Kinda fun to watch the ping and packet loss graphs jump when I do that.

So I tried to have FFXIV go though the VPN only using split tunneling and it didn't work. So I just tried the other way, I only assigned apps I want to bypass the VPN to the list, everything else goes though it. That works. Now I can browse to google search without getting an annoying "check all crosswalks" popup. Also I can use imgur because they seem to block a lot of the PIA IP's.
So my web browser of choice, Discord and whatever else I want I just add to the list to bypass. Browser is really the only needed one.
