Can I point out my experiences from earlier today of me trying to level my THM at level 9? I couldnt hit ONE DAMN TARGET because now 25+ others, such as those with more immediate spells/skills, are stealing the show. It is unfair to us that we cant level properly or as quickly as those a month before us could.

you're not posting any more because you don't understand that 5% drop rate on any single FATE is basically the same as 100% reward after 20 FATEs?

killed 100+ fates and have not got a single item yet een in partys where same person got multiples of teh same drop item within 10 minutes thats beyond random

I did more than 100. Where are my drops?

My comparison was really about the time involved. I dont think i ever once heard someone complain about the time/gil sink from xi Relics. In fact it was so difficult to achieve that it eliminated the possibility of a large portion of the player base from ever getting. But still, no one complained. SE makes it possible for ANYONE to get these zodiacs, with a bit of TIME involved and people break out the torches and pitchforks. As well my comment to FTP/PTW was that you are allowed to just waltz on in, buy the best gear (with your cash) and get to work. Which is apparently what folks want, because they don't want to invest any time into working for it.

I disagree. I think plenty of people are like myself, who have no problem at all with the time involved. We actually like step two of the quest which is going to take considerably longer. What we don't like is the FATE portion of it because that is low level and mindless. Doesn't require coordination, grouping, or even knowledge of any class. It reduces people to spamming a single button or two for hours on end with little to no thought involved. I wouldn't be surprised if most people were watching Netflix (which is what I do) while FATE grinding. You don't have to pay attention at all. It's not engaging. So.. I would say all us against the FATES are likely willing to actually put more time in versus people who want the FATE grind cause it's easier than say.. grinding dungeon tomes (which, even if it gets boring, still requires you to pay at least a bit of attention to perform decent).

There are grinds that are fun for a long time and then gets boring.

Then there are grinds that just starts out boring and mindless.

Not all grinds are created equal.

While I hate that its fates of all things, this is a good point... just wish it hadn't been fates

well its not a problem with rng its self. Rng is expected and needed in a game to survive and keep ppl playing. Where the problem comes in is how one uses rng, loot from boss is expected to be rng. Your lengthy time consuming epic legendary quest shouldn't be just pure luck. One should always see a steady progress, its frustrating to players who grind 12 hours to see one and they don't know when or if they'll see another, but if you say hey you can only get one (guaranteed) every 12 hours through this LONG complicated chain then its not that bad because one sees the progression and where its going.
