I like the armor, but I'm definitely throwing a Glamour over the mask
You know, I think the Darklight DRG Helmet will look really good with that set.
No one has any pics of any of the Zodiac weapons yet. As far as we know, the only pics so far are of Leviathan and Masterwork weapons.
The weapon with the Allagan gear is the Allagan weapon
They're not. Zodiac weapons have their own Quest Line.
Why do most decent DRG's I see posting use or advise people to use foresight over featherfoot as a cross class ability?
Personally I have seen far better results from featherfoot. Foresight is a very marginal benefit at best,
it is only really noticeable from a tank perspective when you have a large amount of incoming physical damage and the buff lasts for the full duration of incoming damage.
From a DRG perspective if you happen to pull hate or have something to OT ie Rook or Chirada etc. which dies fairly quick featherfoot gives much better benefits by making attacks have a decent chance to miss.
What item lv will b the new crafted weapons and gear?
Featherfoot gives a 15% miss chance. This can end up mitigating a lot of damage...or absolutely nothing. IMO, that chance is not worth it. Foresight mitigates any physical damage by a set amount; no chance to deal with. Ultimately, though...they both suck
Personally, the first defensive CD I use is Keen Flurry (paired with Bloodbath). 80% chance to mitigate 27% (ish) of (parry-able) damage IS worth the risk (and the place I use it most on, T4 against Knights, I parry almost all Headspins with KF up).
The new crafted gear will b interesting as will b just like when ilvl 70 was better than dark light . Ilvl 90 gear will b obviously better than what myth gear now. Ohhhh man I'm so excited. I'll meld all of my gear once it's up for grabs in market place, I hope it's better looking than the myth gear if not I'll just glamour the drg body. Also it was mention that there will b no more use P tomes. Will there b an npc to convert them all or will our P tomes b converted automatically once we update to 2.2?
I'm sure that there will be an NPC that will convert Philosophy tomes to Mythology. Don't automatically assume that it will be an 1:1 exchange rate though.
Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner.
Dunno about the rest of you, but I don't like praying to the Twelve in the middle of a fight. Same goes for Keen Flurry.
Yes, there WILL be an NPC to convert your Philo into Mytho (confirmed), but I don't know the conversion rates.
PArcher...Thanks again for suggestion. I followed the map (pg 169) exactly. I am now capped with 411 myths. I got lucky in last coil run getting allagan hands and legs to go with allagan neck and wrist. With relic+1, myth helm, chest, belt, feet and ring of slaying. Only dark light left is earrings and ring of striking. Acc is 504. That enough? What is next equip wise?
504 issssssssssss waaaaaaaaaaaay more than enough.
When gearing up your character, your number #1 priority is getting to i90 first, don't think of BiS and focus on getting an upgrade (in this case your earrings and ring), once you get to a max ilevel that's when you concern yourself in BiS.
Finally got to beat t4 as a dragoon last last night. Wow. Nothing else quite like it. Can I trade in my tank gear? Lol
I personally use Purify, Fetter Ward, Skewer, Impulse Rush and Weapon Throw all just basic level 1, then Enhanced Strength I, II and III.
Fights rarely last long enough to warrant sacrificing the Enhanced Strength for ability recast time reductions but maybe in future updates with more organised/even match ups that could become a possibility.
I would start by unlocking purify > Impulse Rush > Weapon Throw > Fetter Ward > Skewer > STR buffs
Based on how many hits I parry afterward, I'm pretty sure it's a +80% chance to parry added to your base chance. But, that's anecdotal and tbh I don't even pay much attention after I press the button. I should actually take a minute and watch it next time.
The difference between a base*1.8 and base+80% should be immediately obvious.
Make sure your rotation is solid XD
What I did:
Phase 1: HT>B4B>RoT>IR>RoT spam (Invigorate about at about 300 TP)
Phase 2: Normal rotation on knights minus major buffs. I just used Power Surge, Jump and Leg sweep on the first one, nothing on the second knight
Phase 3: Rotation with all buffs. I waited a sec for bugs to be fed before unloading.
Phase 4: Focus one of the rooks. Again normal rotation with minimal buffs, I just used PS>Jump and leg sweep. At this point if around 300 TP use invig again. Second rook was a combination of single target damage while RoT on all of them. Use IR to buff RoT
This is where strats change depending on group. Last night we beat it non-double dread (first time for me) so we took out p5 dread first (full rotation with all buffs) before killing p5 and p6 knight and soldier (bugs got fed to p6 dread) then we killed the last dread. I'm not sure what happened to the p6 rook, I looked for it but never found it (on the kill run). The OT we had was pretty undergeared and group decided to use tank LB at the beginning of p6.
Other times you will take out the p5 knight/soldier which leaves the MT with double dreads. In that strat you want to LB the rook in p6 before burning p5 dread. Once p5 dread is down switch back to knight/soldier. Some people feed bugs, which sounds risky to me, I've also cleared it when bugs were the last 2 enemies after dread.
Also, will prolly need to use invigorate again between phases 5-6.
Hope that helps :D
EDIT: Just as an aside, I did notice ONE miss during RoT spam in phase 1. I'm at 470 acc, there may have been more but I for sure saw one miss. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone was parsing. A group I ran with before I cleared was parsing and I typically had 1st or 2nd dps, 260-280, but I don't know the specifics (I really wanted to know crit%).
If it works the same way all of the + crit rate buffs like wrath and internal release work, it is a flat addition.
Well, got my Gloves (finally) and the Maiming Bracelets this week
Got my gloves this weeks too. Only took months. Now if only the visor would drop...
Figures,
days before release of 2.2 and more gear, finally get the boots to drop to finish off BiS. Strange how things work out this way....
I suppose I'll just start 2.2 without them since Twintania refused to drop them for me >.>
Only took twelve clears to see them, nine to see the spear....
Its not like we'll be able to get new gear immediately after 2.2 drops. The new Tomes are capped (and prices are probably the same as Myth and Philo, so the only thing you can get week 1 would be accessories, and who knows what the drops will be in Coil2)
I changed to taru yesterday, and finally got my damn visor! So that's confirmed: visor drops on T4 after changing from catman to taru, 100% of the time.
lol well finally got my visor 3days b4 the new patch great RNG i must say lol, btw was at 465 acc on T5 and havent missed this week so around 460-470 is the sweet spot for drgs maybe idk
