You have to do a sort of "after quest" for the moblin, in which you have to do 10 single melds. He then gives you the upgrade to multi-meld.

still need npc SS and GLD materia melds
How helpful.
It did take a stupid amount of currency, and the new parts since the level cap increases to 99 are just more to boot.
Thing is, I didn't run the risk of losing the mats/gil/weapon when I went to make/upgrade it. I didn't do a full day of dyna and hope I'd get some currency that pass. I went and came away with something, I spent money on more but in the end that money didn't go up in a sparky ball because my meld broke. I invested god awful amounts of time beating every dyna zone, then farming them until I wanted to cut my hands off so I couldn't. At no point did I wonder if that time was just a wasted tuesday night. While there was a variance due to RNG on currency/gear drops not once did I walk away empty handed, and NEVER did I risk throwing away time/money on nothing.
I didn't do Nyzul thinking it'd be the easiest way to get a weapon either, but I'll be damned if I didn't go. I couldn't care less how hard they make it, make me walk through a room of lava naked with razorblades swinging around and if I touch lava/get hit by a razor I fail. So long as I get something when I get to the end.
A dungeon, not a speed run, that needs teamwork and coordination and skilled players because everything is HNM strong so one slip and your fucked, fine, again so long as when I win I get something. I'll go til I win, and go back some more to get more, for years just like Dyna/Sea/Sky/Nyzul/...... So long as I don't feel I'm wasting my time when I do win.
thank you and fixed
