I would revise the teleport system, but not abolish it. I would rather see the anima cost loosely based on distance. For example, to teleport from Uldah to Blackwater would cost 1 anima, but to get to Drybone would cost 2 anima. Crossing a region border would be an extra point. Also, I think all teleports should be initiated at a crystal; no more teleporting from any random location. That function could still be done by a spell or skill, possibly, but the crystals aren't so few and far between that it is much of a burden to run three minutes to the nearest one to initiate a teleport.
