Anyways, I was thinking about changing races and this settles that. Looks cool, perhaps I'll fill the void of playing a fantasy race that the Elezen did not fill (the male models are just creepy, females are hot).

Judging by the stance the male Mi'qote will probably have all the "cool" stylish animations the male Elvaan had in XI. Riding Chocobos one handed and all that jazz.

The Elvaan still ran weird though, with their necks protruding out like they did.

agreed. probably because of new producer yoshida. he looks like a cat man but without cat ears. This picture even has same haircut as him. he probably made miqote in his own image and had to give them all the badass battle stances. ths was his Plan all long. he most likely worked behind the shadows pre-release an influenced the poople who designed male elfs to give them all the feminine traits, and now his cunning plan has succeded by usurping tanaka.

I kind of expected the gay comments from insecure men to spring up after I seen it lol, I just kinda sat back and enjoyed with my popcorn and bottle of canada dry. I honestly didn't think some people could make an even bigger ass of themselves than they already have been..I got proven wrong xD

I bet the second a popular straight entertainer starts sporting pink, it'll no longer be considered "gay" since deny it all you want..it's exactly how media works lol. I was honestly expecting them to redo Lehko's model from XI..though there are a bit if simularties, he looks like a normal character model, not too "HULK SMASH" that seems to be linked with being a man in MMOs as late and not too "WHY IS THIS SWORD SO HEAVY?" undertoned men.

hope there is a more manly version or beastly version of male miq for one of the sub races; tho this one isnt as girly as i expected it to be so im not entirely unhappy.

All male characters should be able to be shirtless like this pic as well! The feminine tops and chokers the males have now need to go away!

On second glance agreed, he's a little too muscular, I'd imagined the male Miqo'te to be slender and agile - more suiting of their cat-like appendages. That said he's hardly over bulked compared to other races, as long as he's more slender than the Hyur I think it's ok.

Looks alright. I would never pick it though.

Honestly, not all race designs are going to be something everyone likes. I'm interested in seeing Highlander female now though.

We're not second class citizens so much as it's easier to share things when there's no language barrier to deal with. Especially when you're dealing with non-romance languages when a single phrase taken out of context can wreck the whole meaning of the statement.

This actually happened with one of SE's major announcements concerning FFXI before. I'd rather they translate it right, then have it quickly, a sentment shared by the majority here.

He does have a point though. If people on the English forums didn't scour the Japanese forums we would have no idea that this screenshot even existed. If Reinheart didn't have his thread up we'd be completely in the dark about a lot of things, not exactly top notch communication there. There could definitely be better communication across languages.

Geez, brothers, chill. Our community reps JUST GOT BACK from christmas/new year vacation, besides everything the first thing they probably had to do was get briefed on the current haps, probably then required to have other paperwork to handle, mostly relating to what sort of information in what order and how often they're going to have to divulge.
After that they need to scour our forums to see any information that they're going to repass to the devs, translate that, and pass that on.
AFTER that they not only grab the information they've been given they also probably scour the JP forums for important stuff, get to localizing all of that (big difference, translation would mean possible loss of meaning. Also a lot more work to localize instead of translate), and then post.

So yes, they need some goddamn time to translate posts and put it here.

Did you honestly forget you're not allowed to post facts here? It doesn't matter that a Japanese development company would post information in Japanese because we all know Bioware and Blizzard post information in Chinese before they do in English.

Maybe they just know that a picture isn't hard to see in English or Japanese. Hell they also probably know we will have it google translated and a few moments after that properly translated by a fellow poster.

Why waste the time doing a speedy translation?

I like the design a lot! It's not too beastly-like, which I kinda thought it would be. And it's not too girly either.

Haha yeah! Lots of my girl friends played Dark Elves (male) in L2 simply because they loved how they looked.

Now you're sure this isn't just a female Mithra, right?

My man genes tell me to change to male Miqo'te ....but the girly side of me says "HEY! get back over" ;p

I have always played females in MMORPGs, just enjoyed it more that way *shrugs* Star Trek Online was the first game I was comfortable playing male, and now this... but I dont know if I want to give it up :(

Also as a side not, you don't have to be gay to be girly ^.^
