And? Its called a player run market. That does not make the system broken.
By that logic me selling vendor items for 200-500% profit on the market board is broken as well.

Actually the fact that the people in charge let players have any control over who gets what is broken. You are right them reselling is not broken. The People who should be held responsible (FIRED) for housing are to blame.
If they can not run the system better they need to be replaced. Maybe they need to hire some people from NCsoft or Blizzard or any other dozen companies that seem to be able to provide equally for all players. Not saying that the system can't have restrictions but at any time a player can meet the requirement for a house and they are unable to provide (EQUALLY) then someone needs to take responsibility.
These forums have fluffed SE for some of the silliest things. As demonstrated by your response.
I can confirm this:

Not just one, but two different people from the same FC are advertising it.

EDIT: No, wait. Make that three people from the same FC are advertising it now.

Guess selling properties is replacing selling carries.
I just want to know when this:
And this
Will be corrected?
I can see it now. New land that was mentioned in the latest Live Letter will go up for sale and these same people will come in, buy it up and then turn right around and resell it. The system is broken.
I'm all for a free market but not at the expense of raping other players.
Here's an update in the Balmung Party Finder.

Thank you. I am still trying not to cry because of it.
The time just flew by just decorating my garden and I hope my friends plus eventual visitors will love it!
Tomorrow I'll start tackling the interior and the exterior(not the garden) so it looks less bland! It was worth the wait and I couldn't be happier. For me, that house is a Christmas gift to myself. It wasn't fun, being anxious all the time whenether I could have the plot or not. I went by day by day checking the lodestone profile, checking if people had been eyeballing it. Heck, on the 25th I even slept about 5 hours int total with waking up 5 minutes before the next hour to check on when the house got freed.
I seriously love housing and this game really gives me a lot of freedom compared to others I've played. Can't wait to mess around with the garden patches and having friends over once I'm finished! Can finally rest and relax... And really enjoy the holidays like I'm supposed to.
SE!!! LMAO
lots of delicious tears in here. :D
My FC wanted to upgrade from our small house to a medium, and, not having enough money to buy it twice, we had to take a huge gamble... We relinquished our small house first, then waited for the evictions to get a new home. Luckily we managed to grab the spot we wanted, but seeing so many people buying only for reselling feels really disheartening. I would have been cursing so much if "our" plot had been taken from us by one of those guys...
Me and my FC overbought 2 large plots because we were camping along side other people. We only need with the intent on upgrading/moving our FC from a medium plot to a large one...whenever they decide to make the move more friendly so we don't lose our airship progress.
Right now we're sitting at a excess spending of 80mil because of that, and trying to recoup losses. It'd be another 40mil if we decided to opt out on muling the FC and reworking the airship from scratch because you can't turn perrsonal plots into FC plots.
They're also different from FC housing, and thus, naturally more affordable.
After 45 days you can get 80 percent of the purchase price back. I personally wanted another plot which should become available with new wards. I'm debating letting this one lapse and just wait. I simply bought it yesterday given everything was going so fast and I do like this spot too.
Do we? That's good to know. I suppose I should find someone that's interested in buying off the plot, assuming they're ognna be around that long then. Mind if I get the source for this info? I recall there being mention that if a plot doesn't get anything built within 45 days, it's automatically relinquished. You also don't get any money back if you relinquish it yourself.
If you don't build anything on that plot the lot will hit reclamation after 45 days and you'll get the standard 80 percent people who lost their plots are getting. I'm in a dungeon at the moment so can't find the link for you. It's an auto reclaim by the way cause without a house to enter the process of reclamation can't be stopped
