During time when all have bleed on them, for that Sange, I just pop hallowed ground. Takes some pressure off the healers to top everyone up. Also, Adlo lovin during cast+def CD is pretty easily survived with plenty of HP, a regen during cast doesnt hurt either followed by a cure 2 to top up after. Even Bulwark for 1 as ive seen near 4k blocked, supposably it is around 8k unmitigated. But to be fair, it is copycat ability which is in many coil fights and good practice for tanks to time cooldowns and healers to prep during cast and recover after. Very usefull in FCoB.Quote:

i dont even know why this should be considered, cleric stance offers so much more depth in scholar/whm. If you are finding it a struggle to stance dance then that just comes from a lack of understanding on how damage is spread out in instances. Also it gives healers something else to do besides over heal when there really isnt anything else to do.

This is one of the worst suggestions I have read, as you don't really do end game content anyway I don't see how Cleric Stance really affects you, the only time it's really needed is in whatever the current end game raid is, a good healer will swap to Cleric at every chance they get though.
To me the real challenge in healing comes from trying to keep the party up whilst pushing my DPS. Scholar DPS certainly isn't a waste of time either, I was third highest DPS in my WoD run last night which meant my numbers were bigger than both tanks and three actual damage dealers, the only people to die were the ones to get hit by insta-kill/avoidable mechanics too. -

This was just a general suggestion about whether cleric stance is a hindrance or not, and obliviously most feel its not. It doesn't mean I don't dps and heal. -

If the group is halfway decent and the tank actually uses cool downs, there is a lot of downtime for actual healing and dpsing (or handling other boss mechanics) is a great way to use those cycles. If the tank goes RAWR must pull it all! and didn't use cooldowns and effectively wiped the group i'd bail too. I'm sure in some cases the healer was the issue and didn't use appropriate abilities to keep the tank up.Quote:

The problem with being a healer in a MMO, is that oftentimes you aren't treated like a fellow companion at all. In most cases you are treated like an NPC or a pocket fairy that follows around and just restores you HP bar. The only time a healer plays a significant role in a story (as in a Main Character), is in an RPG. There was a time when "role" didn't mean "healer", "damage dealer", and it was a time being a "front line fighter" meant something, when being a healer also meant being able to prevent damage, and magic-users weren't glorified ranged attackers.
A BIGGER problem is that most people who play MMOs stop thinking like videogamers. I remember being a videogamer was about interacting with the game world, and in an RPG points actually represented something. Most people nowadays, like play cookie cutter because it's easy, its popular and its the path of least resistance. Most people who see a healer DPS and think WTF is because most people who DPS as healers or going that extra mile. No matter how well I have done on runs, there will always be those that light their torches and sharpen their pitchforks the moment Cleric Stance comes on, and if anything bad happens, instant lynch mob.
I remember in FFXI i would use Regen and barspells in dynamis and melee would do something stupid and demand a Cure V. I've been in instances in WoW where people would go in and one shot the first boss, save everyone to the instance, and then kick a healer who's total healing was low because they threw some dots on the boss when the tank didn't need healing. No. Cleric Stance needs to stay. It needs to stay so good healers can be great. It can stop a wipe if something goes wrong @ 3% of a boss fight. It needs to stay in cast a DPS d/cs. It needs to stay because its a tool native to your job class, and even if not everyone wants to use it, it needs to be there. Are you the person who would ban guns simply because certain people don't want to learn to use them properly? Or are you going to let us use our tools so we can help our fellow adventurers kill things and take their stuff. -
