This' ridiculous.
The only way I managed to beat Titan HM was with a premade that included:
x3 healers(x2 WHM / x1 SCH)
x4 DPS (No BRDs or SMNs *they die the most during HM Titan)
x1 Tank (PLD aka Me)
Took us two tries to kill him only because the second time we used the first phase for LB3 stacking. Now I have to go against the EX Primals and doubt I'll try it again.....going to grind CT until new content.
The fight can be unforgiving for people dying to dodgeable damage, as you lose much needed dps with each death. That is, if your current party DPS is inordinately low...
That said, if FCs can merc the content, having 2-3 people (who payed) knocked off the edge in phase 2, you KNOW the fight has got to be EVEN easier, if said 2-3 competent players were not being carried through the fight.
Nothing in this game is hard, learn how to play and stop paying for crap.
As long as there are bad players who are willing to pay for wins there will always be good players who take advantage of them.
The best thing people can do to stop this is to simply stop paying for wins.
Here, here, everyone! Logic speaks!
The content leveling up is extraordinarily easy. Titan is the first "real" challenge. It doesn't allow you to hold others' hands and carry them through it. You're being held accountable for your own situational awareness.
If you cannot abide by this, then this is the wrong game for you! It's not some brand-new, earth-shattering (see what I did there) concept! Titan-like fights are in every game. Some games challenge you early on, others in the middle, and oftentimes at end-game.
Put your big-girl/boy pants on and learn to play the game. Stand up and try again - and heaven forbid - learn from your mistakes!
Wow. You're totally right! You said it so it must be true. It's okay. I'll believe you even without supporting evidence and just your 5 words you posted. You changed my mind. You should teach debate it seems like you have a real knack at it.
Or, you know, if you're that raw about it, you can just leave. It's not like you have a pre-nup with FFXIV or anything. It'll be rough in the beginning without your stellar personality, but I think we can manage.
Or, you can do what logical people do:
1.) List what you think is wrong in as much detail as possible (providing examples and describing each issue while remaining unbiased and offering facts and data, not complaints)
2.) For every one issue you think needs to be addressed, list 2 solutions or workarounds (including examples)
This is called feedback. Your post is the exact reason why Square doesn't post in threads and doesn't take the forums seriously.
You can't please everyone. If the content is too hard, people complain like you're doing now. If it's too easy, everyone finishes the content and has nothing else to work towards, then they come here and complain about it.
You just have to accept that SE call the shots here, not you. If you don't want to pay for this game there are still plenty of people who do, so please stop with the "I'm paying for this game, so we'll have it my way" routine.
Titan the fight isn't tough. The problem is the groups. If you don't put together or buy a group for it then the DF sticks you with 7 people most of which can't do the fight so you fail.
You can help your FC mates, even if you have to carry them. I'm not on a great connection, nor am I "hardcore", but I managed to clear Titan HM with relative ease after learning the fight (i.e. joined a learners run in PF, my suggestion is to make one on your server to help people learn the fight).
It may be that they don't know the patterns since it's a dance fight like Demon Wall in AK, or it might be lag as you say (or a bit of column A and a bit of column B). Phase 5 of Titan HM can be done with 4 people alive (1T, 1H, 2DPS), assuming they know the patterns (or have very good reaction) and the healer can keep up.
It is upsetting that people can't clear the fight, but it's understandable. The way the fight is designed might be the issue I think, not exactly player skill. It's a very specific pattern with randomness mixed in, it's not hard to mess up on the fight and eat a landslide or plumes; especially with lag.
Every party I have gotten in for Titan HM die because they have crap internet or can't dodge his attacks which are extremely simple. It's really not SE's job to dumb content down for you because you have crappy internet or can't pay enough attention.
Not really at least in my experience.. Same people just sick of DF then making a PF and still getting owned. I have a running list of Titan attempts from DF and PF. Won't go into full detail but in the first 60 runs only one group took down the heart... Only to wipe to the first tumult. FYI I was still standing. So at least on my server PF is just another DF. Not just Titan either... Wish I had vids of some of the other groups I got in from PF... So much fail on everything from chimera to mog to primals to ct... So much fail
This. This is the problem with Titan. This right here. The fight isn't what makes it hard, it's the people you get stuck with. I just recently got to the point of needing Titan for relic and because my FC isn't quite there I have been busting my ass to get it done alone with DF and party search. It's a nightmare. It's all I have tried to do for the past couple of days with nothing to show for it. I praise the groups I have had for their patients, but some people just don't get it. You get people who are not that well geared. Low dps. People who can't dodge. I mean you see it all once you hit Titan. For me, dodging is really quite easy and I'm more then geared for it. I know it's a tough fight but when you know you are doing fine the entire time and still losing... you start to understand why people say to hell with it and just buy a run.
Please don't quit just for damn Titan.
As I said, I am playing the game without Primals or Coils. On a limb about trying Labyrinth (put my nose in once and didn't like the cold look of the place).
This way I plan to do my dungeons and stuff (have AK on farm mode now) till I am decked in full 90. Planning to get a 70/75 weapon somehow. SE can keep the damn relic.
Never got a legendary weapon in WoW either, too time consuming and gets obsolete the moment you get it. Lots of more time-effective things to do in game.
I'm very pleased with my toon's strength after just 2 months playing. And no HM Titan, nor Garuda, did Ifrit once. :P
P.S.
Getting Stealth as a Disciple of the Land delighted the Rogue in me. :)
wow clone. due to wow being one the most know of its kind.
#1. gearscore its all about the numbers.
#2. grinding dungeon for tokens & gear.
#3. crafting is 99% useless.
#4. never have to move from one spot ever to do content. just queue and wait.
#5. world is for show, no one needs it.
#6. same mechanics in a fight.
#7 casual game made for all, means easy mode.
#8 eveything is instanced.
I'll never understand how people can seriously call Titan HM "too difficult" when everything he does is done in the exact same order. Even with 200ms ping or whatever, you can dodge plumes because you know they're about to happen.
And if you have even worse ping than that, expecting SE to make the game easy to cater to those with connections THAT terrible is outright selfishness. You are the minority by far, and your connection isn't SE's responsibility.
Yes... I have heard the horror stories. I guess somewhere in my stupid brain I thought to myself, "You know? I quit playing for a few months. The free weekened was great so I'll play again. I haven't seen much Titan hate on the forums.. maybe the worst has passed and people know what they are doing these days?"
Needless to say I was vastly mistaken. I won't be waiting months. Not at all. I will sooner pay for a run then wait that long as I don't really care what anyone thinks about it. I've done my homework. I'm always one of the last few standing. I know the fight fine. I refuse to stop progressing because others can't cut it. I don't blame anyone. I help where I can and I'm very patient. I don't rage quit. I'm a good sport about teams not getting it. But there comes a point where I just throw in the towel and say "forget it."
All? Hardly. I dare you to have a full i90 average party to oneshot pharos sirius JUST by facemelting the primary target. I'll wait.
First, tokens only apply to dungeons over lv 40. Why then, do people keep doing guildhests (all sub 40) after they are 50 all classes?
Well, if done properly, it is very profitable. You must be doing it wrong.
Seeing that you have at least 3 relic weapons, your candor seems lacking. You ought to know for a fact this is untrue.
Say what? This statement doesn't even make sense.
in one fight? OK. in all of them? You MUST be joking.
Seeing that you don't even seem have one class averaging over i80, how likely is it that you are caught up on content?
Eastern shroud is an instance with Beastmen dailies. South Shroud as an instance with Odin on occasion, just like other Shroud instances. Ya got me there.
1 out of 8 ain't bad. :p
So i hear WOW is planning to add level sync soon! Wonder where they got that idea?
Vertical gear progression has been around forever, where have you been if you think WoW is the only, or even first one?
Tokens, I guess I can agree with you on that, I've never encountered a system that used this method prior to WoW. But as for dungeons: Do you really think grinding dungeons for gear is a thing WoW made? Are you serious? This method is staple to MMO's and video games in general.
Crafting served a purpose in WoW, and still can. Have you even played it?
There is quite a bit of content that exists outside of the queue screen. It's your decision to actually go out and do it. Hell, WoW has a slew of lore in it's quests. Ever hear of reading and immersion?
See above.
This doesn't even make sense. What are you trying to get at?
Having elements, or activities in the game that support play for casual minded gamers does not automatically qualify the game as being easy. There are aspects to both WoW and FFXIV that are challenging to all levels of play.
In terms of dungeons? Yeah, you're right. But that's been around much longer than WoW.
