Anima abolishment ~ Thoughts?

Here's a tip to those that want to be restricted and prefer using normal means of travel. You can. No one holds you at gunpoint to use the "teleport" button. You're entirely free to ignore it.

I do it quite often in games that include both, and guess what? It works wonderfully.

I disagree that it is the same.

Its like saying you can get your first relic normally and then the rest are free in your bed. But if you want to experience the challenge you believe needed to be on the items you can volunteer to do it (for the rest). The feeling will be entirely different.

Unfortunately its a case were you must ask to be restricted to maintain the feeling of scale.

You seem to think that in order for it to be restricted, everyone should be given the same restriction you enjoy.

Of course, that's not the case.

The comparison, mind you, doesn't fit. The scale of effort and effect is massively different.

It's not the same, Yes no one is puttinga gun to your head to hit " Teleport", However You will get Scenarios like this:

Player 1: Lets Teleport to Darhold!
Player 2: I wanna take the Airship there!
Player 1: But that's going to take A long time!
Player 2: I love the Scenery!


You see the picture? If Teleportion is "Free" and " Accessible" Most people will use the "Teleportation" button. I don't want Teleportation "Completely" out. I hope it will be so that You can do all 3 Modes of Transportation, without feeling the Airships/Ferries are just pointless to be in the game.

Of course you can always self impose restrictions but they are not what -most- people would be looking for.

I want to be able to get all my items instantly with cheat codes, you can impose the challenge for yourself. If you feel nothing for this statement then you are really a robot. XD

What you say is true but it doesn't change anything either.

And you want to depricate content as soon as you are done with it.

Like I said in the last post of page 4 - its people who like hub games and people who like actual worlds.

Actually no. I use the teleport only when i need to, otherwise I just ride, walk, or such. In Skyrim I installed a mod that changes the carriage so that it goes from city to city by actually traveling there with you on top instead of teleporting.

I just don't feel the need to restrict everyone else over my personal wishful thinking.

They will Probably take a page from gw2. Attaching a scaling gil price to Teleporting to camps. The further away the more it costs.

I think really the only ones with a serious problem with the concept of anima are casual players but since they are casual players they tend to be loaded with anima and thus not need it. But of course not all hardcore players think carefully before using their anima so I think there should be one free teleport area like camp blue fog in the black shroad or camp glory in coerthas...
