Well... if we want to take this perspective.....
The last week before 2.0 launch everything should drop quickly and easily from all the primals/dungeons before they are gone. A nice going away present ^.^;

I definitely agree to this. Getting sick and tired of winning moogle 20 some times and not get anything out of it.
I thought the Primal Battles were going to stay, but the story and prequests behind them will be different. Are the primals really going away come 2.0?
I think the Primals will stay but the fights will be different, and we'll either get to keep our old weapons and also obtain the new primal drops (if they do have weapon/gear drops etc) or our old weapons will be converted to the new weapons... again assuming the new primals drop weapons.
Agreed they need to fix drops & add this next patch or earlier!
Can we get some confirmation (preferably a link) that they will be taking away these fights and/or their weapons in 2.0?

Thats about as close as you're going to get to a link and confirmation. I don't think the weapons will be taken away but you guys can't expect that when they tell you to experience the stuff now, a year in advance, they WON'T take stuff out. They told you this was happening. Don't act surprised. They should however make stuff start dropping quickly as the moon almost hits. They could play it off as the Primals are stronger or have more energy or w/e and drop things more often because of that.
This is a great idea but they could also increase the drop rates from 1% to possible 10% as well as make the totems 100%. Now I am pretty damn sure that killing the primals multiple times dosent stack therefore an increased drop rate would help. Now everytime you go into a primal or dungeon and win u have a 10% chance of something dropping, and you would still have to run the content a few hundred times before you get a complete set or what not. Now considering all the content is luck based some players still may never see a drop in 200 runs or more.
Why would anyone like your post? Seriously I am glad you enjoy doing the same 1 fight as well as dungeons over and over. Now mind you the dungeons and fights are always the same nothing different in anyway. Now why should any1 have to endure this kind of content? It would be different if you went into an instance (think ffxi dynamis) and players had different things to do everytime they went in. FFXIV is and or has nothing as big or as deep as dynamis. FFXIV has the lame sauce when it comes to endgame content, if you actually want to call it endgame.
