Potency is the distinguishing difference for damage between the WRR and PLD. Determination increases damage based on your Attack Power. Only determination increases your base attack damage (So to increase your damage add Determination) and Direct Hit increases that base damage and Crit increases Direct Hit damage. It's why they are using quotation marks to indicate the differences. Attack Damage (); Direct Hit (!); Critical Hit (!!). If you want to increase Attack Damage add DET. To get more Direct Hit's add Direct Hit. To get more Critical Hit's add Critical Hit. From what I've seen is that an Attack Power of 1800 will still be low because of the lack of Determination and the difference in potency between the WRR and PLD. Even with good Determination the WRR will always be stronger because of the potency of the weaponskill. The differences are because one is offensive(WRR) and the other is defensive(PLD).

no offence tanking is boring now and tenacity has been proven to be a trash stat already. At 1000 tenacity we get a whole whooping 1% dmg reduction and it scales far worse than determination for dmg. I can't even hold agro with 3 overpower's, after 3 overpower's I have then started rotating butcher's block then see I have lost a mob to dps its like wtf and this is with full 310 gear on left side with 310 ring and rest is 300. Tanks have been slapped like a wet fish and then we wonder why majority of tanks have flocked to dps it isn't because its the new jobs while it might have some relevance the majority of tanks have moved away because SE have butchered tanks and not giving any incentive to actually play one.

I would go into a long post about the way SE is trending to enforce the role trinity, about how they admitted dps checks in certain savage content was set too high, wtc. But it all boils down to this: deal with the changes. Use your enmity generators more instead of worrying about your dps. You want big numbers, go play a dps. You wanna tank, then tank and pull your head out of the "MAH DEEPS" (0 _ ° ) mentality.

To be fair, he did seem new or something, considering he opened with Provoke when the mob was pretty close to him. IMO SE needs to do something about DPS outpacing tanks when it comes to AP.Quote:
