Telling me to stop and smell the roses does not mean anything if I have to trudge through miles of roses every single time I need to get somewhere. I can't even count the number of times I have had to go to Vesper Bay, just to talk to Minfilia or Urianger for a story quest, then immediately head back to where I came from on the other side of the world. And do you know what that process is? I warp to Limsa Lominsa, then use the city's aetheryte to get to the Arcanist's guild, then run over to the boat that takes me to Vesper Bay. Or alternatively, warp to Ul'dah, and either take a Chocobo Porter or manually ride all the way to Vesper bay. Why do I need to do this? Is this making the game more enjoyable? Because I assure you, it sure does not feel like it.
