For the love of god:
PLEASE separate the level sync button from the quest log!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't need the quest log having a ton of story-text blocks on my screen at all times but why do I need to trade my ability to level sync if I want that text to be turned off??
Those two seem like completely two different things!
Here's an obvious thing, when I mark an enemy in the game, why doesn't that mark show in the enemy list? Would really help me find the target I need to focus on etc...
I second this... I'm a gamepad user and in some parties they say me "It is obvious that tank should cancel regen when about to meet monsters, so healer doesn't gain aggro" ... It is not so damn easy to do it with the control... I have to wait the cursor that appear is situated in the states, that if I don't press select button so fast and then try again.... And when it is placed there, move directionals, select buff, press X...
UI Log
- limited to 4 tabs
- have a fullscreen log option
Instead of going into the settings and changing filters on tabs, can we please have a simple and convenient "sort toggle" on fullscreen log view to quickly view specific types.
Say > Tell > Shout > LS > FC > Combat
I rarely bring up XI features, but similar to its full screen log toggle.
I checked but didn't find anything related to this but I think it would be awesome if we could flip UI elements like the Party List. It looks weird if you try to move it to the right side of your screen.
Can fire actually hurt you? I want to step on fire and receive damage. it'll be nice if you add that kind of dangers to the world. Acid pools, fire, or other dangers.
SE, please fix PS4 cursor bug!! this is really huge issue. When it randomly moving between your gamepad cursor feature and the selection tab. It is so annoying and you can't really select anything during that time, can not select loot. can not select teleport offer. etc.
The problem is that the game think that you are using mouse and using gamepad at the same time. And there is no way to turn off mouse feature that bind within PS4 controller.
P.S. this seem to only happen to PS4 users who also use Sony Keyboard that has small mouse function on it.
- Level Sync button displayed even when Duty List is hidden from the UI;
- An option for companions to auto-consume new ghysal greens without being dismissed at the 30 minutes marker, if greens are available in inventory;
- Free company crests on mount bardings;
- New entries on crafting/gathering logs should be more obvious to find. That orange check is really too small, my eyes cross as I peruse the logs after every patch to check if something new has been added and I've missed it. How about a flashy "NEW" next to every recipe/gathering entry until it is performed/found at least once?
It's something incredibly minor but after recently starting fishing, I would like a fishing umbrella for when it rains or just to keep the heat off seeing as we can now sit down :D
Is it possible to have a setting added where the Display Item/Action Help window is set to a transparency?
Thanks for your time!
Could we have some control over the minion and mount roulette? Like a check list next to the minion and mount lists, allowing us to select which ones we draw out when clicking on the button.
I like to collect them, but that doesn't mean I want to use them all. I have a small handful of favorites I'd like to be able cycle through.
If that makes any sense.
Since this is a general "things we want to see" thread, I'll toss this in.
Mounting your Chocobo when it's already out for Companion status.
This is only for Chocobos as they can fight beside you as a physical ally. The way it is now - you use the whistle, the chocobo disappears, reappearing under you and off you go. Rather, why not, if the chocobo is already out, your character actually Jumps up on it's back instead? It's a simple thing, more of a "immersion" type of thing I suppose. The idea would suit things like the Horses as well, if they appeared beside you when called, your hand reaches up into their mane, you grab then swing yourself up on their back. Naturally this method wouldn't work for all mount types, such as the Goobbue, Behemoth, Flying Mounts, etc. But for the more "realistic" type of mounts, it would.
Teach your models at SE how to jump on horseback! lol
I think this could be implemented in a way that you will always mount your Chocobo when using the Chocobo Whistle. The Chocobo could come running towards you (for instance like you call your horse in Assassin’s Creed), stop right beside you and you swing yourself on it’s back. If the Chocobo is already out as an companion, then it can take a few steps towards you and have the same animation.
The same goes for dismounting. Right now, the Chocobo dashes off and disappears while you “fall to the ground”. You could have a dismount animation, where you give the Chocobo a slight tap on the back where it will then dash off towards town.
To make it even more “exciting” for the animators, i would love to have a little random element to the mounting/dismounting of your chocobo. For instance where you grab the reins, pat it on the head and then mount it or send it off to the stables.
Or..or..or..
Get your foot stuck in a stirrup and fall to the ground, face first into the terrain. Chocobo turns, looks at you, warks, then runs away. It could be random, but comical regardless. Allowing the player to retain control, if they actually move themselves (button/joystick) you get on your feet instantly if it's a moment you really have to respond quickly. If it's not a big deal, enjoy the slowly picking yourself up animation, dusting yourself off and a 'sulk' type of emote to follow it. They could certainly have some fun with it.
That would work really well as a mini-game in the Golden Saucer. “Choco-rodeo”. (^_^ )-b But, to be honest, i don’t think players are waiting for a “mini-game” just for mounting their chocobo’s. hehe. Actually, i think most people would find it annoying, if they were to trying run from FATE to FATE and they would “slip” from their mount every once and a while. (^_^; )
But, just by adding “simple” things, like idle animations where the Chocobo would flap its wings and Wark every once and a while, or looks for something to eat on the ground will add a whole new “dimension” to mounts and lot of “fun & immersion” into the game.
At least, it would for me.
Hmmm… This made me think… We already have minions who interact with each other. Why not have our Companions interact with each other? “Talking” to each other, playfully chasing each other, or maybe some courting between Companions when we can have both male and female Chocobo’s? (^_^ )
What i also miss is a little more interaction with my Kwehzacotl. I mean. He does look at me every once and a while, but i like to see him do more then just that. Walking around a little bit like the Minions, wark every once and a while, look for food, etc.
I would also love to be able to move him out of danger, if he’s being attacked with a AoE/Cone attack (like we can do with our Arcanist/Summoner/Scholar pets). It would be perfect if the Companion AI would move outside of AoE/Cone attacks on their own (maybe with a RNG so that it won’t dodge every AoE/Cone attack like a pro (^_~ ) ).
Beyond a QoL....i would like to see scholar and summoner be able to allocate the attribute points for their jobs separately and not be stuck in the singular arcanist build. Makes me nervous for the future additions to job paths stemming from a single class, we will always be gimped in one to max the other. The ability to purchase the GC attribute reset was a nice addition and eases the pain slightly, but being forced to pay out 10k seals to play a job optimally is a band-aid at best.
Not what I'm talking about. I'm referring to actually mounting the chocobo While it's out, in an actual animation, rather than having it disappear and reappear under you. I realize a lot of people probably don't really care about that and there's probably a reason they cant do it anyways, but if possible, it would at put a little more of a 'realistic' effect on it if you were able to get on your Chocobo saddle as if it were a true physical object in the world while it's already out. It partially stems from the mounting animation I was watching in Archeage, though even before that I had pondered this after switching on/off the chocobo a few times during fates.
any word on if we will ever be able to go completely barefooted? lol xD
Just let me press the "Enter" button for OK/yes on dialogs for now -__-
Not sure if it has been mentioned but:
Make Chocobos not count as a party member.
Not sure if it has been mentioned but:
Can we have Truth of Forests/Mountains usable while on a mount? Or can we give Miners/Botanists some trait that allows us to have those skills be automatically turned on, similar to Prospect/Triangulate?
Seeing messages about people's companions.
"X withdraws from battle."
"Y joins the battle."
I believe it should be limited to being a party message only.
I'm sure these have been mentioned before, and I apologize for bringing them up if they have. There are a lot of posts in this thread :/
- Be able to turn down/off the gathering sounds of other Miner/Botanist. The "Other PC" option works on turning down fishing sounds from other players (which helps when in a crowded area and having to rely mostly on sound to reel in), but gathering sounds while at a crowded node are overwhelming.
- Allow the option to display a countdown on ability cooldowns instead of the spinning thing. This is mainly for the long recast abilities, as they often look available, but have a few seconds left before you can use them.
I use a controller 99% of the time in game, but find it frustrating that there is no way to select enemies in the enemy list without having to use a mouse- I would like to see a way to do this with controller too if possible. If it is possible to implement I would like it to be intuitive and not be the 100th box highlighted by tabbing >.>. Or even a macro command take your cursor to the enemy list and be able to use the cursor to move up and down the list would be fine; would just help a lot in fights like moogle ex etc.
I have two monitors on my computer. I game on one, and web browse or whatever on the other. Sometimes I click outside of the game window when I'm web browsing.
What I've noticed is that the chat window doesn't seem to be updating if I am clicked out of the game window. When I click back into it, all sorts of chat appears in the box that should have shown up minutes ago but didn't (assuming because it wasn't the active window at the time).
Is there a way to remedy this? If not, it'd be nice if the chat box would always show new messages even if the game is not currently the active window.
Waiting in Coerthas while a snow storm raging over the map... thinking, how come that with that few heat sources none of the npcs did not die yet? I know it´s a game, but realistic seen no one would ever survive such a weather with just some small torches around. . .
So my idea is first of all increase the sources of "heat" drastically. At least in the camps where it makes sense. Also give us a campfire skill or emote so waiting in this tundra is less annoying if you don´t change the spawn times for atma book fates. ^^
I would like a setting that would raise the visor on my helmet when I'm out of combat and lower it when in combat.
You know what would be nice. If I could hover my cursor over the weather icon above the mini map and actually have it display what the weather type is rather than guess by that TINY TINY little icon.
I don't know if this was mentioned already, but this Eorzan clock really needs an alarm that can be set to remind us that it's time to fish, mine or forage for stuff.
