I still have to point out that providing feedback for the jobs you play, or switching jobs is completely normal and not griefing whatsoever, and if that's all the movement is about, then I would say I support it. Even though I'm generally happy with healing (though Dia procing Glare 4 dose sound very satisfying, not gonna lie).

We are doing It now because we have lost faith in the developers empty promises they have given us for 3 expansions now

I watched two of my favourite jobs get ripped to shreds in ShB because (and I quote) “you’ll be healing so much you’ll barely have time to DPS” then edens gate proceeded to be the easier tier we have ever had to heal. Then it was “the new foundation for healers in ShB will be really well developed in EW” and it proceeded to get worse

After have less than zero faith in tje promises of the devs at this point and seeing how phoned in the DT jobs are only cemented that. I’ve spent enough time taking a “wait and see and provide feedback” approach

Feedback given since Shadowbringers but was ignored...
Feedback given extended to Endwalker... ignored.

In fact, healers were told to play ultimates if we want to have fun. While tanks and DPS can have a modicum of fun in all content, healers shouldn't?

still bad timing? tell me when is it the best time to air our grievances?

1. If those other jobs (*cough* WAR *cough*) have self-healing abilities to the extent that they make the healer role unnecessary in group content, then this is an obvious balance problem that needs to be fixed. Or Square needs to acknowledge that this isn't a trinity-focused MMO anymore and go full Guild Wars 2, and give every class the tools to take on every role. One of those two things is easier than the other.

2. Copium. We've heard the same "oh, they'll totally make new fights require all this extra healing they're giving us" schtick before, in the run-up to EW, and the run-up to ShB. And did it pan out? Lolnope. WAR was able to solo P1N when it was current, and P1S and P2S were done without healers when they were current, to give you some idea of just how little healing is needed in current encounters. The focus shifted to one-shots and body checks to provide difficulty. When something has followed a consistent pattern for ten years, it is a pretty safe bet that it will continue to follow that pattern in the future. Encounters in DT are going to be designed with even more of a focus on one-shots and body checks.

Tanks having too many self-sustain tools, or similar "issues" (which I don't even see as issues) can be entirely corrected by encounter design. Focus your energy on providing feedback for your own role and job, not trying to tamper with other people's enjoyment. Healers can be improved without gimping other people.

What you mean exactly what the tanks have been doing to the healer role since like ShB, we don’t like being the queue fillers either

Tank sustain is physically too high there is no way to balance bloodwhetting, it just isn’t possible, there are times when nerfs have to be considered, like how SCH took a nerf in 6.1

Trying to buff everything else to stealth nerf tank problems creates 80000 other failure points

The difference I imagine is that it's far more deliberate and possibly coordinated this time, that making anyone and everyone frustrated to the point they think twice about queuing at all with random healers and sticking to only people they know ...which could still present an issue if their main healer friends/FC mates are on strike too. Not helping either is that at least some of the "more instant queues for me" crowd have never actually healed much (or at all) before, so they're going to get hit with the double-whammy of not only potentially increased griefing, but finding out first-hand why there's so much complaining about healer play to begin with. Even better, we know at least some of these newfound tanks and DPS were former healers, and we have terms like "scab healers" being tossed around already. All of this on top of the influx of two new DPS to go with all the striking healers and duty finder is not only going to have some possibly skewed timers, but now there's reason to be more mindful than ever of anyone you don't know because an unknown amount of tanks, DPS, and healers alike all have some sort of motive to make things difficult for everyone else while having a ready-to-fire excuse as to why relating directly to the supposed strike (either for or against) or how it's "new content, still learning" and how often have griefing reports been successful when coupled with a situation where some people literally *don't* know how the fights work yet? (Ironically, it's possible Dawntrail has plenty for healers to do since we don't know every fight, but with two expansions of precedent...)

You also have to remember that pro-strikers *already* feel like their valid points have been ignored for several years from the sounds of it, so what do most of them have to lose? It's all the making of a perfect storm, assuming it manifests at all that is, because it's just as like that some people are just spouting off in-game and don't intend to grief to that level or at all, they just want people to *think* they will.

I should clarify as well my intent wasn't to spread misinformation, and would much rather be wrong about all of this, I just know the idea has popped up in some people's heads in-game and people are quick to say what gets posted on the forums by the "loud minority" doesn't matter, only what the playerbase is doing while logged in has any impact and well, some of them have already decided a strike might not be enough in their minds to bring change, or they might use this chance to get all complaints tossed out by being bad actors. Again, it's probably just bluster and idle threats, but then people probably didn't think forum posts would be getting attention from gaming media and content creators either, so I'd really rather people didn't think griefing is a viable solution and could gain traction regardless of their stance on this.

I mean I’m not speaking on behalf of the strike I’m speaking on my personal opinion of what needs to happen (which other people are going to disagree with) and to me the tanks need to be nerfed to have this work and on that point we fundamentally disagree

I’m not going to gold star anyone for agreeing or disagreeing on any point, people are free to have the opinion they have

In addition to this, the point is literally that EVERYONE's healing bloat should be nerfed including healers.
