normally its for jobs but sometimes there are race specific dialogue
like for the Monster hunter event
if you are a miqote and answer "a talking cat!?" the palico will go "look whos talking"

Yeah, those work pretty well. But with the Ivalice raid, doesn't the party go after Fran because, besides her calling them, she, as a Viera, will be able to guide them through the woods without getting into trouble with the other Vieras? I think that would need some more changes to the dialogue than simple changing a sentence. Can you imagine playing as a Viera and everyone is saying "if only we had a Viera..." for a while and standing around like you don't have massive ears coming out of your hair xD
But I guess it can be changed if they only add a scene where they talk about needing a Viera to help them, turning to the WoL a asking him/her "Can you help with this?" and the WoL just shakes his/her head with a sad expression, so they turn to Fran.
A similar problem, but more difficult, would probably happen if you introduced a race like Burmecians or other more beast-like race. Everytime people talk crap about beastmen in the story (or call Qiqirn "rats"), you stand around silently thinking "I take offense to that..." lol
It's even mentioned at multiple points during the quests that there's been an increasing number of viera leaving the jungles in the last several years. If anything I'd consider that a point strongly in favor of males outnumbering females outside of that delta, as they'd be more likely to see the imminent threats to their way of life.
Oh, that's right, I forgot about that. Well, I believe SE might tweak dialogue a bit if you play Viera in these scenes, only because there seems to be some more concern with that kind of stuff recently, but otherwise it might not matter that much to them and leave them as they are, just like with that Yugiri scene and others already mentioned.
Its not too far off lore-wise from the lives of male miqote: For suncats you'd stick around your tribe if you're the breeding male but theres no reason to stay if you're not or if you don't plan on gunning for it. For mooncats you'd only come into miqo settlements when its time to make mikittens and then stroll back into the wilderness when you're done.
Not particularly great lives by any means, but they make a good starting point to explain why your character would ditch a traditional life to be an adventurer if you roleplay :P
Look at data mined appearance
