I complete object to OP as the suggestion is not logical.
How come there will be a savage mode if there is no the original mode?
In AAR, there is a content series called The Binding Coil of Bahamut,
some players think it was not hard enough, and saying to others "gear is not important",
so one day, a savage mode was added, and it was made for challenge without gear drops.
In HW, Alex is the new Coil. But don't know why YoshiP forgot the purpose of savage mode.
And let ppl gear up in savage mode, this is the root of problem.
