This has likely been said already, but I'm going to throw it out there, just in case: koi ponds. We are heading into an Asian-inspired expansion, and we need koi ponds.

I love the ponds we have now, but they are SO PLAIN. Sure, you can set rocks and bloodblossoms and such into them so they don't look SO bare, but I would love some little fish swimming about.

I have a SIMPLE idea that will greatly expand yard variety while revitalizing indoor gardens, giving apartment and room dwellers something to profit from.

Violas, oldroses, and cherry blossoms.

Five (for example) of the same color and type + growth formula = 27 different flower plots. For example, red viola plot, black oldrose plot.

Cherry blossoms obviously don't grow in plot form, but perhaps you could create a flower garland divider type of furnishing.

As for models - easy! You already have something that looks viola-like in Idyllshire, just recolor the texture. The red flowers on the left below. The purple bushes could make a passable rosebush with minor model modifications. And the daffodils vaguely resemble cherry blossom petals and could be used as a basis for a flower garland.

Here are some requests for outdoor furnishings that are already in game - so there'd be minimal dev time, no new models to create. I'll provide locations for ease of locating the bgparts :)

First, two trees!

An orange tree as seen in Idyllshire - the northern part, near the tiered farmland.

Next - some water plants for display in small or large garden ponds. As seen in East Shroud off the side of the bridge near the Sanctum of the Twelve.

This directional path light is really nice - I would love a path light that actually lights the path you're meant to walk, instead of being omnidirectional. As seen in South Shroud near the exit to Central Shroud.

And finally, for those who want to control their yards' atmosphere - a colored-fire torch! Bonus points if we can dye the flame, but the default purple as seen in Palace of the Dead floor 80-110 is alright too.

With the Carbunkle house coming, I really have a need for more bunkle stuff to make the theme inndors as well.

What I would love to see is a 3 seater sofa, pillars, wall lights, ceiling light, plushies for decoration purposes, and probably many other things. Would just love a properly bunkle themed house fully :)

Couple things I'd really like to see for housing:

Ability to make a worn dirt path from the gate to your front door.

Add a mini-game for something to do outside with friends. I suggest bag toss (cornhole). Let me practice by myself, but also play against another PC or in teams 2v2. Don't even need the rewards, just something fun and social to do outside. http://www.bagtoss.com/how-to/how-to-play-cornhole

Why do the mansions gave a balcony on the second floor when there's no way to access it from inside the house

I know this is a long shot, but if we ever get a FFXIV x Nier: Automata cross over event, I would love to have the access point (the black box) for a bed furniture. Like the Mhachi Coffin, but standing upright instead. :D

my wish list at the moment is:

-string lights or outdoor bunting

- tiki/island themed houses and furnishings

- curtains

- windows as a wall hanging item (so you can place decorative windows anywhere on the interior walls of the house, I'm not bothered by the fact they won't reflect on the outside of the house)

- sand (like how we got snow)

- swimming pool

Just did the lvl 60 GSM quest. It's brilliant! One thing though... is it possible to activate both music box together when they are placed side-by-side?

So far as I've seen, no. You can get them close, but not perfectly synced unless you have a second person.

Given the story behind the music boxes (a la the quest), there's something romantic about it being that way, though.

I understand that, but it's kinda silly to allow access to your house just for the sake of playing both music box simultaneously, not to mentioned that isn't even an option if the pair of awesome (like my case) are placed in an apartment/fc room instead. :(

Any chance we can hire the dancing NPCs in Ul Dah and Goblet to lighten up our house a little?

Can we please dye wallpaper? Like the new partitions can be dyed, I'd love to have a few selections of dyeable wallpaper as well.

A 'workshop' like room for fc houses that has a swimming pool in it, perhaps you get a different style pool depending on where your home is. .......Possibly for blitzball. If that even becomes a thing.

Yes, they can. Any free company member will be able to teleport to the free company house located in Shirogane, so don't forget to set up the miniature aetheryte in your yard! Thank you /so/ much for this. This question came up during a discussion with my Company about moving our house to Shirogane, and you posting this really helped a lot.

For those who get married, it would b nice if when you take a screen shot, the game offers to save it as a painting. That way people could put up their wedding memories in their house.

The sketch of certain NPCs that you get as a wall decoration item in 4.0 is really nice - can we get more of these for other characters? Especially certain 3.0 characters?

I wanna see some more Azim Steppes style housing items, like the rugs that the Xaela have. I want to be able to get some of their food as well like buuz to put on the tables in my FC house.

I see that the area is great but when does it release no one is talking of when and that's the most important part.

First, this is the wrong thread for this, it is to request items and features you want to see added to housing, nothing to do with Shirogane.

Second, there are several threads about Shirogane already and the reason none of them include the release date is because we have not been told yet. They will most likely announce before the ward opens, but not until it is closer to happening. It can be anywhere from two weeks up to the 4.1 patch.

Can we get actual primal furniture again from new primals, instead of just miniatures.

Firstly, thank you SE for the housing item limit increase! I have used every single extra item slot :)

Please consider increasing the exterior item limit one day as well (even a bit would be great)

- please allow us to dye the new white wallpaper addition.
- consider allowing us to change floor, staircase and ceiling colors one day.
-addition of the white half partition we can dye is great!! ..maybe remove the wooden border though..a solid "woodless" one would blend in and match better :) we have so many different trims of varying colors/woodgrains/colors..they tend to clash.
- allow us to bury items deep into walls and place items on staircases , too many "cannot place item here" errors (without the use of the glitch thingy )
-still hoping for the use of ingame screenshots as paintings one day ^^
-allow us to dye picture frames
- consider option to remove all interior wall pillar dividers or at least let us dye them to blend in better :)

Why not both? I love the miniatures.

What I can't fathom is why they haven't made armor/weapon stands of some kind. Is there some 1.0 bit of code that makes things hard? I mean they already have the mannequin wearing/holding stuff for crafting quests. It seems trivial to me to apply the retainer modeling code to one of those, or even just a stand. I wanna show up my stuff :(

They've already confirmed they're making such things available at some point during this expansion.

I would like to see a brick housing exterior similar to those in Kugane Ijin district.

Can we have an option added at the top of the furniture list for interactive furniture so we can keep track of how many we have and what we have to choose from to cull if we want to keep the items from disappearing?

I love the extra space that was given, Thank You SE.
In the future I would love to see the option of:
- Toys (pluch chocobo etc) being able to be placed on the bed or lounge.
- All or some pillars removed from the walls so we can add pillars only if we want them, some items don't sit flush and it annoys my ocd.
- Staircase options
- More items to be dyeable
- Carpet option to the whole floor, in a plain dyeable colour.
- abilty place more DoH tools/equipment in a house
And of course the outside limit increased.

I would like to see housing/plots be one per an account on a server so that any one with more then one toon can go to there house on any toon within the same server. I think it will help open up more plots for other people to be able to get to them. I would also like to expand on this idea to maybe give something like 5 slots within a house to transfer items and gil to other toons within the same account on the same server.
