Yeah, keep telling yourself that that it's just a few people on the forums unhappy. The newbies are obviously happy because they're nowhere near endgame, the endgame is what's really awful right now. Maybe you should get a monocle for your other eye too so you might see better then? I don't know if there's something wrong with your brain or if you're just trolling. If you started in 2021 then you obviously wouldn't know anything about how the other expansions were.

There's the same roulettes and beast tribes the rest of us have been doing for 10 years, great repeatable content. Who said it's your problem? Good for you that you're enjoying the game, plenty of us aren't and you just can't handle that.

Which is fair. This likely wouldn't apply to you but for others housing is a big part of what they enjoy about the game. I'll give you an example. My friend recently had a baby and has basically stopped playing since late last year. Getting a house was something she wanted since she started and she happened to win her dream plot (41 LB) back when the second wave of Stormblood houses happened. When she is playing, she adores that house. If she were to unsub, she'd never get it again. Therefore, her choices are to pay for a sub she hardly uses at the moment or lose one of things she wanted years to obtain and has no guarantee she'll ever get again, and certainly not that plot. When you boil it down, 15$ amounts to 3.75$ a week. Throwing that away monthly is worth keeping the house for when she returns to the game.

Yeah, pretty much. If the developers actually took the time to listen to feedback, most of these would have been fixed by now. The solutions to the problems present in the game have been given, but have fallen on deaf ears.

Dungeons became linear cause people stopped wanting to go into every nook and cranny. When was the last time you had a group that went into the rooms of Hauke Manor, Sastasha, solved the puzzle at the end of Quarn correctly, took the northern route of Toto-Rak before the recent map change, or the Optional areas of Dzemael? If you were a dev and people ignored part of an area you made cause it wasn't quick enough would you still want to put in the time and effort? And for who? For a small handful of players? Even though I like the ability to use explorer mode I hardly use it. When was the last time you went n used it?

And that's how you kill off roulettes or people not progressing cause people the playerbase hates randomness in their stuff. Or you have people ask to be kicked cause they don't like X pattern or whatever. Even now there's people who don't realize Nemphina has two different card decks. I'd have arguments about Toto Rok about what was faster going north unto the 1st optional room or back tracking a bit at the 2nd boss to go grab the last photo crystal you needed. I'm not saying I don't miss that stuff. As I do miss it, yet I don't think those who also miss that stuff are in the majority.

Heck I kind of miss having trash in non alliance raids. Except A2. A2 can go die in a fire cause it is only trash. You'd of thought they wouldn't have made that sort of mistake after people would have a person in their group get a skip to T4. So that as a group they wouldn't have to do adds with jump pads. Not that T4 was much better as that was adds but this time on an elevator.

It's like when people ask for things to do in the open world. What do you think would actually last and be seen as fun that the playerbase wouldn't just optimize and stop doing once they got all they wanted from it? Go look at XI they have two different outside systems that even when those expansions were the latest one people stopped doing them. Or at least doing them often.

You add reasons, you didnt open the chest on that room? More mobs spawn that would take you the same time to kill or more than visiting. Didn't turn that lamp on in that other weird room in Haukke manor? You mysteriously re-appear at the entrance every time you try to go into the boss room. etc.. etc.. there's ways to add personality in manners people wont cheese. Not everything has to be a corridor, thats just the easy way out, and boy have they abused it.

The dungeon under Ronka? there could be a 50% chance of a cave in in every instance that makes you need to dive into one of those waterholes in the cavern to come out the other side. Not every instance has to be the same. That way, its replayable because at the end of the day, maybe its the same dungeon but you always wonder what will happen.

Again, when something doesn't work, you don't just remove it so there's less stuff overall. You figure out WHY it was boring / didn't work, and change it up. XIV isn't the first game to make dungeons in a video game, so they have a lot of history to learn from. But they refuse to learn. They only remove.

We were hoping that they would EXPAND on ARR Dungeons, Classes, Mob Types.. Not collapse them further into NOTHINGNESS.

Everything has been watered down and designed to baby the Tanks and Healers so they'd play more and be less anxious. But look where we're at a decade later. Still in the same position. Hallways and babytown copy+paste classes didn't fix anything.

And for the record, whenever we end up doing ARR puzzle dungeons with sprouts, they usually want to figure out the puzzle and I let them. So because the off-chance some jerk doesn't let that sprout have some fun, means remove it entirely? No fun at all because your feelings are more important?

When was the last time any of those alternative routes mattered? There's no reason to explore the side rooms of Hauke Manor or make a detour in Sastasha. Nothing happens. Not only do we out level the paltry gear rewards quickly but all the lower level content has either been nerfed or power crept so hard it's irrelevant. They need to put incentives otherwise there's zero reason for long time players to care. Instead, they either put largely useless gear or lore which is only good for the first time experience. I'm not stopping to read the Lapis tomes on my fifth run of the dungeon much less my fiftieth.

who in the world wants kids in this hectic world we live in XD. Things are so expensive and kids make it more expensive. Forget that XD

I always here there is plenty to do BUT that is if you actually have a group to do other content. Idk how many times I have tried to make friends on FFXIV and it always ends up in a dead end. Tried talking to them and no responses. When I do dailies more often then not it is so quiet even if you say Hi that I';ll just listen to music on Youtube to break the silence. Even Zepla made a video about making friends but when I did the exact same thing notta XD. So I end up playing this game alone. I even made my own FC and got a house to hopefully recruting people to make friends and nothing. People say do PF to do stuff but why would I take the rsik if I am going to go for loot/mount and then someone else gets it and dips out. I prefer people I could play with and guarantee everyone could get something /shrug

I get that. I was the exact same way for the first 4 years I played the game.
What changed for me was getting involved in a sub community in the game. In my case it was hunts. I met a butt load of people through that and now have people I talk to daily/group with.
Not saying it will work for you too but figured I'd share my experience on that end :)
