Yep, took them with a grain of salt indeed I did. Things seemed a bit wonky and I had a feeling they would be adjusted for better/worse.

I thought TK would be higher pot since it uses our GL3, didn't some said that Fc is 400 pot. I figured it'll b other way around
+3 seconds on demolish

Also elixir field doesn't use chalra stacks since it doesn't mention it like for purify
I will gladly take that! Also 24 seconds on GL stacks in PvP as well.
We knew that already. I didn't know you were under that impression otherwise I would have been clearer on that when you were asking questions before. Forbidden Chakra and Purify are the two abilities that require Chakra stacks.
Wow so that's what they change for GL for PvP. It last 24 sec. That's cool. Can u show more pics plz like FC and other moves we got that's getting a change
Yeah, I did a double take on that too. That should help out monk a fair bit in PvP.
So here's the real question since we're posting pics. How about meditation is that instant on it separate cool downs like TK purify and elixir, I'd still like to see photos of FC. Plzzzz post it, so I can dream about it and have dirty thought about it.
The GL increase on timer is a May be for PvP. If it's still same slaughter then it won't help, I can see it in wolves den but not slaughter
I can't see those pics you linked Zamii
It got taken down. Elixir Field is 220 potency on a 30s CD, Tornado Kick is 330 potency on a 60s CD, and Purification is 300TP on a 180s CD (I think it was 180s at least...maybe it was 120).
Edit - It's 120s on Purification. Found an update posting with a lot of the moves that have been screenshoted.

With Skill Speed Builds it looks like Demo is going be used once every 4 Rotations instead of 3 now.
So Snap > Snap > Snap > Demo. That's nice I guess, no more 2 Demos per B4B though.
Tornado Kick got that nerf already, probably saw that it would be abused by having Monks just blow GL3 every minute, so I guess were back to holding it until the Invincible phase which works for me. Elixer Drive every 30seconds sounds a little crazy, thats 279 Extra Potency every 30 Seconds. Just wanna see what Meditation is looking like, wonder if there are any more pictures laying around..
Have to wonder if the 330 potency on Tornado Kick gets the 27% GL bonus applied, or if it's consumed first. I'd guess the former?
Yeah, we really need the info on Meditation to really understand how that will change things.
Not to incite some negativity or anything but doesn't it seem like MNK isn't getting much potency added to their rotation compared to other classes? Unless Featherfoot becomes a DPS boost or Chakra does some hidden effect, I'm personally not seeing what will take level 50 MNK who is 1st or 2nd in DPS, while giving the ever loved Dragon Kick but relatively low on contributed DPS, to level 60 MNK in the same position.
Again not trying to assume that but from the numbers it kind of looks it to me so far.
I know what you mean, it doesn't seem like our main "rotation" has really changed much. Elixir Field is one new OGCD, apart from that the other stuff is a bit niche. Especially Tornado Kick. Forbidden Chakra could be the dealbreaker here, but it's hard to say until we know more about Meditation/Chakra stacks. If we can weave, what its cooldown is etc. Another thing to take into account is the changes to Crit and Skill speed. As Monk tends to have the most crits and highest skill speed we might see a big jump from that contribution alone.
well i think it's quite normal if you think about it between twin snakes that give +10% of damage, GL that grants +27% of damage and the dragon kick reduction of defense against the blunt damage of 10%. a skill at 500 potency was insane. especially if you add the boost of damage from the scholar and the vunerability of 10% of TA.
i have always feel that monk was lacking OGCD skill, all this add are more than welcome if you think about it. the combo/stance of the monk are by far the smoothest and fluider of all the melee dps.
At first I thought Monk was getting the shortest end of the stick but lets look at things.
Speed and Crit rate are going to be huge bonuses for Monk that will probably outweigh every other class, except for maybe Bard (w/ Crit). At first we didn't stack Crit at all because of its ineffectiveness with Bootshine, but now it will boost bootshines damage, along with that, Internal releases 30% Crit rate increase might be a stronger buff than Drg's B4B and Raging Strikes now.
Along with that, I'm thinking Elixer drive might be the strongest new DPS skill that I've seen so far. 220 free Potency every 30 Seconds w/o counting buffs, and on multiple targets when possible.
I personally think Elixer Drive along with the new SS and Crit buffs are where Monks will shine, we don't need the flashy high DPS skills all these other classes are getting, we just need reliable, consistent damage like we've always had.
I'm not sure if its % increase of Crit chance + Damage, or just Damage, the explanation is unclear. I guess we'll see, lol.
If they removed the increase critical chance that would be pretty sad. 5% base crit is really low. You are right though the explanation is unclear and the wording can go either way. I'm hoping it means both.
Yea it affects us, but with the SS reworking of dots combined with the crit change, I'm more like meh whatever on the det change lol
Aww my hype would come crashing down if it wasn't both on top of the det change. Wouldnt make sense though imo. Might as well call the stat Crit Hit Dmg and not Crit Hit Rate in that case.
The wording for Skillspeed is the same with the "now affects....", but SS still affects the gcd, just in addition to the effects in the notes. I assume the same with Crit.
For a baseline assumption, we'll believe 100 in the crit stat will increase the chance by 1%, and damage by maybe .5%; Or both will be 1%, no one can say until we get those few that rush to end game ASAP... No point speculating now, when we will see shortly!
I would also assume it means both. If they removed the increase to critical chance then crit wouldn't be all that great considering they are trying to balance the scales with secondaries it wouldn't make any sense. If it does effect both then crit might be the new go to secondary for a lot of classes though. We'll just have to see how much they change det, and what is actually changing on crit.
It'll be both. "Critical hit rate" is just becoming "Critical" that affects rate and power of critical hits. Abilities like Internal Release will probably still just increase the rate, but your stat values will be what augments the damage.
That's my thinking on it as well.
On a careful re-read in two languages, it does appear the wording means the stat will affect both rate and damage.
So, we have our work cut out for us huh :S
so i saw some screenshot and it seems one of the skill that originally had 500 potency is now only 330.
is that a nerf or are we still getting buffed overall that it doesnt matter that much?
The one thing we have to consider, will greased lightning effect DoTs, as it effects our GCDs? Like I said, no point in too much speculation at the moment, since we will briefly find out... But that would certainly be something.
I'm pretty fresh to this but it looks that skillspeed is going a different route and will affect the ticks on the DoT damage.
Regardless of your SS stat or greased lightning's "increased attack speed", Demolish and ToD did not tick faster or slower.
I'm probably wrong, but i think the key is in the wording here.
Actually, greased lightning's increased attack speed did affect autoattacks and your GCD, but seemingly not your skillspeed stat (unless it was off of paper)... though there would be an equivalent.
If that's true, then they could have changed that interaction along with what they will be doing with criticals.
All of this adds only slight complication to the PB opening because there's still only so much you can do in 10 seconds.
Grease lightning does not effect skill speed. When I say skill speed I mean the actual number under the stat menu. If you had 512 ss it will remain the same number under the effecta of grease lightning 3. It only effects recast timers and gives you a damage buff to all attacks. Now Selene's buff, fey glow effects skill speed the stat. If you had 512 skill speed it will jump to 667 and that will increase dot damagedamage on top of the bonus damage because we have more skill speed.
Samething with internal release, only effects the rate and not the stat number
Tornado Kick going from 500 potency to 330 is a huge change... I guess 500 was a little too high on MNK, but 330 is kinda low IMO.
330 is high for MNK, yes, but Demolish has higher total damage, and you're only gonna use Tornado Kick at very few times in some fights... Not the best attack. Edit: And I know it's oGCD, so it's still nice damage, but you wouldn't use it very often
Now I wonder how much potency Forbidden Chakra have...
Can't complain about the nerf on Elixir Field though... 220 potency AoE at 30 sec CD, is strong enough.
I'm getting a little annoyed though that we are getting a lot of info about abilities for most jobs, but so far no more info on Meditation :/ How is that not the first thing you check when playing MNK at E3....
EDIT: This is highly speculative, but as someone mentioned in Reddit comments, Purification's tooltip states that you need 5 Chakra stacks, but it doesn't say that you will lose those Chakra stacks... Tornado Kick specifically says that you will lose your GL stacks when used. I know, that doesn't prove anything, but still...
Yes, I was just about to post it too. If it's true, that's good although you basically choose whether to keep your 5 stacks and be able to get 300TP every 2 minutes (awesome) or spend the Chakra stacks on Forbidden Chakra.Quote:
