Congrats from Modified.

No iLevel 90 gear.
No crafted gear.
Players in half 60 greens.
No relic +1's.
Non-legacy.
Still possible, but that room SERIOUSLY can go die.

Congrats Next Level and Modified. Well done. :)
you have to know that they may be Legacy Players, which meant that they probably didn't have to go through the whole leveling process. And then there is that possibility that some, if not all of them, has acquired Darklight gears in v1.0. If that's the case, then they also didn't have to acquire all that many gears to meet the entrance requirement like the most of us would have to :).
My question is this I'm a non legacy player currently gearing up and have quite a few dark light pieces but should I be rocking full dark light to do binding coil?
Darklight + Amdapor Greens are fine for the early Turns. The last two you are going to want close to full Darklight for.
I've seen now the horrors of Turn 4 ._. Not excited beating my head against it all night tomorrow
Thanks for the info. I just want I ifrits bow to drop and I will be ready then
How many bosses that drop gear are in each turn
We used a BRD in Turn 4 with 4 DL pieces, 7 Toxotes pieces, and Artemis Bow, totaling 421 dex, 500 acc, 424 crit, 234 det, and 394 skill speed.
What is Order of the Blue Garter ? That a FC ?
Our BRDs consistently parse very well throughout all of Coil (we've cleared Turns 1-4, working on 5.)
Obviously the damage meters aren't flawless, but giving some perspective. Their raid utility is incredible as well. 1 BRD feels relatively mandatory, 2 BRD is (often) worth it.
We haven't run a SMN as much as Modified, but we think they're quite strong. They're a contender for top single target DPS. In Coil what you attack varies by Turn, but sometimes the opportunity for multi-dotting is strong, and other times the amount of damage you can do to a high hp mob (one that's up for a bit, you get some time on it) is very very good.
On top of that, Eye for an Eye (with the reduced cooldown) and in-combat res are powerful raid utility. From our perspective an SMN isn't mandatory, but is a very solid choice for one of the DPS slots for sure.
Just out of curiosity im wondering how effective if crit for scholar as in with the top or close to top gear can they crit most of the time for their single target heal? Im curious because it would seem that if they can reliably crit then they would probably be the best tank healers since it would seem white mage is a better raid healer but that just my guess and im curious how its playing out in coil?
I haven't done any research into stat priorities so I'm not able to give an informed answer. For SCH though a big factor to determine the weight of crit is going to be the absorb shield mechanic. I'm not sure how much healing is from a shield and if shields can have "critical amounts" of aborb, or if the shield absorb is based off the initial spell criting.
Will be interesting to find out though!
In general our healing strategy in coil has been pretty loose. It's less about tank/raid healing and more about who is dealing with what mechanics. Some fights are two tank, we may each favor a tank. One tank may be taking more damage, the healer not on that tank may do more raid offhealing or assist on the main tank.
Most importantly you need good teamwork. Avoid healing over one another and for important healing moments make sure both healers know how to contribute.
Primary stats are extremely powerful, so dropping some DEX, Acc, lower crit/skillspeed/vit cap's for more optimized pieces is often not worth it, if ever worth it.
Ideally the only case where dropping primary STR, DEX, INT for a damage dealer would be worth it is if you need to drop it for Accuracy, since missing combo's is a horrendous DPS loss.
Then crit sounds amazing for SCH and indeed they'd be well suited for tank healing.

Turn 3 Hidden Boss To Be Continued
So I'm just wondering... does the Coil of Bahamut progress the story in any way, shape, or form. Like do you have an idea as to how/why Bahamut was thrown into this labyrinth?
