Effectively saying that because he only recently joined the forums and only has 1 post discredits his opinion. That's a personal attack. You're not attacking the argument, but the player itself. Attacking your spelling is also, in a way, a personal attack. However people will be more likely to read and accept something said if it's spelled properly. It shows that you are trying to make something compelling, at least to a degree.

i already said from the start before i even got the slightest bit personal "not that i think it have been personal" that i am dyslexic its a real human disorder look it up and learn about it, i put the forum together best i could in a short time. sorry i am not perfect but clearly i am not the only one.

And im 100% sure if i proof read every post you people make on the forums, some of it would have bad grammar, so the whole spelling thing is just weak and shows you really have no actual decent things to mention so why mention anything at all.

also rewording my posts to try and make yourself look like you have a shred of intelligence just proves you dont "Eekiki" oh and yea that was personal.......

It was to point out that what you said WAS a personal attack, regardless of whether you think it is or not. Yes, some people have legitimate issues with spelling and such due to reasons like Dyslexia or it being a new language. However, those types of people, at least the ones I know, typically try harder to sound correct or take criticism about their spelling and grammar. No sane person will really fault you if you're trying, but if you just don't care and use something like that as an excuse... As an example, this post I quoted, does Dyslexia prevent you from capitalizing the first letter of each sentence?

No offense but you must not be a very good dyslexic. I too am quite dyslexic and I know this. So i take the time to edit my posts and use spell check and re-read my posts so I know they make sense. You seem to be aware there is a problem, why are you not attempting to make the proper corrections?

But that is completely separate from the content of your posts. You seem to prefer to respond to the negative and personal attacks rather than a comment that could lead to a meaningful explanation and discussion. On the other page I asked you to tell me in your own words what "Final Fantasy" means to you. As this seemed to be the biggest concern that could be considered valid. the rest was just opinion and we all know opinions are like assholes, everyone has one but most of them stink!

This thread should now be about trolls; For a fantasy game, there are not enough trolls. Discuss.

That's from your first post, and is easily false. Attracting the wider public does not a community make. You're still going to have the same issues with the same types of people, just more of them. Also only certain types of players get "stressed out" or expect a game to be "easy going" to be fun. Those are one of the types that gets stressed out at more difficult games, but not everyone does.

Thats my male chr, Zakarn. the avatar that usualy comes up is my female main Sephre. I havent used and will be deleting Zakarn and re-rolling him for ARR so I can experience the game from the ground up. I'm excited for the reboot and thing everything they have showed us is a huge improvement on 1.0

Do tell how it is opinion when that's what happens? I've seen it in many games. There are all kinds of people, and making a game a certain way attracts certain types of people. And typically people are reluctant to change who they are or how they act. Simply put, making a game "player friendly" ... wait, what kind of players? But leave it at that, player friendly does not mean "Helpful Player Friendly" or that it makes people less aggressive, it just means more players, you're still going to get all kinds.

I'm a little disappointed to see that the ffxiv community has gone from friendly and supportive to belittling and bashing people with different opinions. Even down to the point of just picking apart spelling and grammar.

I love ffxiv, i love the story and everything about it. But personally, ARR's gameplay doesn't really seem to be my style. Don't bother saying "It's in ALPHA" because gameplay styles are refined post-alpha, but not overly different) I will likely give it a try (if leveling can be done without kill x of y quests) because I want to love it, I really do. Granted, I don't make topics to complain about it because I'm sure there are more people who like it than those who don't. My question is that if this were a brand new game under a different franchise, would you guys be giving people such a hard time for not liking it?

You're missing the point of our criticism of Virgal. It isn't about whether he likes it or not, it's about the fact that he is basing his opinion on things that simply aren't true, and he himself is the one getting defensive and disrespectful when people call him out on it.

The opinion you state here, even though I disagree with it, is completely valid. You've seen the gameplay of ARR, and it isn't your cup of tea. That's all you needed to say, and that's all you said.
