It should also be pointed out that HW's Alphinaud had about ~1100 lines of text while Dawntrail's Wuk Lamat had ~3000, having almost 3 times the dialog boxes while barely twice the amount of words. Not only does it show how bloated the MSQ has gotten, but it might account for why it feels like such a slog talking to Wuk Lamat compared to other characters who say more with less.

And that's not accounting for the fact Alphinaud speaks like an encyclopedy, which makes his lines twice as long as they need to be.

I remain convinced the repetitive, bland, and bloated writing is the main problem. Earlier dialogue could crackle with energy, now it's just time consuming.

She is absent for now.
Yeah definitely a tantrum about her being present in the trailer for 1 or 2 seconds at best 1 or 2 quests, just... standing there and talking.
