I'm pretty sure I've stated before I would like the system back. I don't need to man up about anything.

MAN UP. Making it optional is ridiculous, because nobody will use it. Stop defending the idea of toggling it because you can't think of a good enough reason it should be made permanent for all players.
So in other words you want to force a massive amount of people to play your way?
Because even with a toggle option, it's been stated that few would likely play that way. So if there aren't enough like-minded people to level slower with now, why force it on everyone else?
Uhhh, no. they're getting rid of the final bit of gathering fatigue in 2.0, why bring any of that back?
"It helps stabilize the market." It's also a hindrance to individual playstyles. Some days I don't want to go out and level, so I put on a movie or some netflix and I craft, if I hit some crafting "fatigue" barrier. I'd probably log off and play something else.
Square-Enix does not need to give players reasons to play other games when it's game is improving but it's future is still "questionable".
They managed to do it right in Chrono Cross.
But translating that to an online game would be challenging.
I'm sorry, but you're being the narrow minded one. You're not looking at how your "ideas" are going to impact the game as a whole. All you do is "Gee this would be nice, but we can make it optional so you don't have to flame me. But yea, I don't care how it affects the rest of the game."
You put absolutely ZERO thought into how this affects the other players you claim to wish to play with.
^ - ^ No thank you. I don't want that kind of virus a part of the code, not even as an option!
Why should you be punished for having more time? That is what a fatigue system is and usually only implemented in games at the launch and removed later because it is kind of a counter measure to combat people from reaching cap too fast especially when there is very little to no end game content. It didn't work well before and it wouldn't work well now. Especially when they have said so many times they want level from 1-50 to be fast, so why are you beating a dead horse?
Also, you only have two classes at 50. For as long as you've been playing, you could conceivably have all 50's. Hell, I'm extremely lazy when it comes to leveling other jobs and I have three.
So if you're not even all that serious about leveling anything, why even bother making a post about something to affect EXP?
Get off furoms dude, this is a definate NO!
Well you have to learn to respect what others want in order to play with them, we asked them to remove fatigue system several months ago, so you like to have a leash for leveling? well go ask your mom to turn off your computer once you reach 2hrs played, let us have the freedom to play as many hours as we want.
Or go whip yourself
The only payoff that could necessitate a toggle like this would be converting a percentage of your EXP into a Grand Company seals or increased spiritbond for sub-50 classes/jobs. That will give the crazies the option of a slower leveling rate and everyone else a slightly interesting tradeoff for reduced EXP.
Otherwise, what you're suggesting is akin to a McDonalds employee asking his supervisor for smaller wages so that he can work longer hours to make the same amount amount of money.
As a side note, if I were that supervisor, I would insta-term the employee before terming myself, then commit myself to an asylum out of the fear that I contracted a frighteningly contagious form of stupid.
Hell no, instead make leveling slower and stuff not harder but longer to get
HELL NO!!!Quote:
Fatigue <can I have it?>
one system im happy thats gone.
Roriken, why are you throwing up random ideas in multiple threads when you have one particular goal in mind?
You could have saved everyone the trouble of going to three threads to smack you three different times verbally and just made one thread stating "I want to extend the average playtime, how do we do so?" And listed your 3 ideas in that one thread?
Fatigue system is a no go. It was canned for a reason. If there is anything we can extend the lenght of time on perhaps is the length it takes to spirit bind, and only that by slightly as people use XP parties as a means to spiritbind and make meteria or multi-melds.
Hello,
This thread's ratio of Constructive vs. Non-Constructive posts has hit a poor balance, so I'm going to be locking this for now.
I understand that some people may see threads unnecessary or inflammatory by their nature, but the only acceptable avenues for this are to either ignore the thread, add the poster to your ignore list, or reporting the thread to the moderator. Taking it upon yourself to post aggressive or inappropriate comments only runs the risk of backlash when it comes time to moderate the thread.
Thank you for your understanding.
