My biggest problem is that there are a handful of jobs that feel really weak, i.e. GNB. DRK doesn't really do enough damage to justify its HP cost either, even though Eventide is really good. There are a few things that feel dumb powerful compared to everything else (WHM CC and a few of the LBs) but nothing really feels overwhelming yet. WAR feels like the best tank but that's mostly because the other tanks are extremely lacking (except PLD depending on the party) and WAR is more general purpose and useful no matter how good you and your party are.
i love the new skill moves , lot easy to learn and make sense for console player and the less button, that can be casted with out swapping the ui each time you what to cast some thing different. I do hope they put a pre-made team vs a pre-made team so I can get some of my friend or FC member to pvp with me. i done about 200 ranked matches on my other toon and i still trying to get passed bronze .. I have a good team that get a star . loss it the next match to different players. beside the ranking system I been having so
much fun. i might do a little more pvp to let my rage out for losing to 0 in house.
I like the PvP and I've won and lost against all kinds of comps. So eh, its a good time in an MMO known for PvE
The biggest thing to me is that the new pvp actions prove to me that the devs are 100% capable of coming up with unique gimmicks that are actually fun to execute. So why don't they do that for pve? Like, rdm getting to switch between black and white aspects at will to give either buffs or debuffs is FUN as hell! Translate that to pve with, say, support abilities that change effect based on which mana is currently higher. Also AST CARDS ARE DIFFERENT! BISHOP AUTOTURRET! Jobs having unique lb3 effects? Yes please! I hope the positive reception to pvp and the negative reception to job changes tells them what the people actually want to see.
WHM is OP compared to other healers. LB charges way too fast, and the CC is ridiculous. The fact WHM can cancel out a SGE LB with Miracle of Nature despite not being in the damn ring is questionable af design.
Playing against a WAR + WHM is really unfun. Primal Rend to be looked at. its quite ridiculous now.
Crystalline conflict owns. Give it some class balance tweaks and stop putting giant camera-smashing walls behind where people will stand (a glaring Hells Kier problem) and I'll happily resub just to keep playing it.
I think it's a lot of fun, with my main thought just towards balance and balance is going to be a never-ending process as that's true in any PvP game that has unique classes involved. Server ticks sometimes annoy me, and feel a bit bad to deal with since things don't feel as snappy and responsive as I'd prefer, though for the most part I don't find myself *consistently* annoyed after just trying to work around it a little. But the foundation that's here I really enjoy, the games are fast and have a lot of action in them, the LB abilities feel impactful and fun to use, controlling areas for potions to steal/damage buffs to benefit from and remove from the opponent/utilizing Guard for strategic things (ie.: point stalling is the most common, but also to soak a LB aimed at you) and being able to cancel guard feels pretty nice.
Games are pretty RNG since it's not really a mode you can /really/ hard-carry in unless people just let you 1v5, which does lend things to feeling more RNG but at the end of the day... every team PvP game is RNG on what types of players you get and whether or not you can work with them and, frankly, not every high ranked player in other PvP games is a tactical genius, or a mechanical god. Bright side is, if your team is getting obliterated... you can just re-queue in a few minutes and move on, and not feel trapped in a landslide game for 20 minutes or more.
I do wish, to a degree, composition was somewhat taken into account -- I know Lost Ark does try to pair a support onto both teams if it can do that with the available queued pool of players, so it doesn't feel too lopsided when it comes to composition, and I think Crystal Conflict would benefit trying to do that with healers.
The camera zooming In and obstructing your view if your character is against a wall is, however; incredibly annoying and I really hope that gets changed.
Imo, WHM is definitely doing high numbers, but that's mainly because people play like sitting ducks, waiting to be AOE'd down. The higher rank I go in CC, the less powerful WHM is, and the more powerful I've seen SCH become. It's kinda funny really. The ranged support jobs that don't seem that good like BRD become ridiculously powerful the higher I climb because people can properly take advantage of the buffs they provide.

6.1 pvp is so jacked on almost every level that it feels like there was no playtesting whatsoever. I'm just getting the armor glam and a couple other things from the vendors before leaving it in the dust for good.
It's a lot of fun. The amount of stuns and CC seems a bit crazy though. But I have mostly been playing Frontlines so maybe it is just the amount of people.
this is what i'm sayin lol i love gnb but they crippled it so badly in pvp, you have to make sure the enemy is in your aoe ulti in order to kill them and they can literally run away from it. and draw and junction is so rng based on the opponent you have to fight that its no match for wars heal regains or drks dmg overtime
From what I've played against other Samurai, or with them, I don't really have this impression about the class -- what makes it completely busted in your eyes? Any time I've seen them pop off and kill everyone... everyone kinda just let it happen. There's the chance I haven't fought a good or decent one, considering in the games so far there's only 1 NIN player who stood out to me as an example, but no one's really been providing details when they make complaints about Jobs being broken/too strong aside from 1 anecdotal memory and not so much how their kit works.
No, the pvp is not great. They had a good idea, but there are some jobs that are OP AF.
healers are constantly outdpsing actual dps jobs, they heal, and cc, atm all healers are broken, they do everything with little downside, not to mention summoner, that shit simply plays itself, every match basically has like 10+ of them.

NO, PvP is not amazing, at all.
It's basically Overwatch but in FF14. And Overwatch is a dead game for a lot of reasons!
- Way, waaaay too much stuns, and the cleanse doesn't do anything, you can get stun locked to death even as a WAR, i've seen it.
- Overpowered LBs that are unreactable
- the job balance is absolutely broken, WAR WHM SAM DRG are completely overpowered while a lot of jobs are clearly underpowered/too situational.
The PvP is currently popular because it's new, it's really fast pace, and most importantly, THE GARO EVENT + Feast rewards, this is why people play it a lot, not because it's "good"
It need a MAJOR rebalancing.
How come they released it in this state frankly? they couldn't see the problem with all the stuns and overall balance?

Tank is basically useless compared to Melee DPS, i think the only ok tank is Warrior.
Great addition to PVP as i usually hate PVP in MMOs. But there seems to be a few things about the BLM which feels underwhelming and that is the Sleep which dont seem to CC anyone at all, nor does the 3 stacks of Freeze to snare them either. The other Jobs who has CCs you cannot break free of is insanly annoying
And the Potency of the LB seems to be lacking as well as i can nuke everything say on a SAM and they never die, then they LB and seem to 2 shot me always with 35000 hits
I hope balancing comes very soon as this cannot be allowed to be to the end of the series. That BLM has slow casts in a hectic PVP just seems to not work too well as enemies just dash in to attack me and then backflip outta reach and interupt the casts. And when I do land casts, the potency seems to be too weak

The one thing that needs to be toned down is the stun lock. The mode is fun to play. Know what's not fun? When I am actually not able to play, because I'm more busy standing around, unable to do nothing, because I only have one use of purify and my entire kit is locked.
I can’t stomach getting to rank 6 for the rewards portion of PvP. It’s really boring to for myself to grind. The new crystal match is short and not hard but it’s not for me. Wish they would include a similar reward structure to PvE.
PvP is much better it reminds me much more of how it was in HW, than what they came up with after...
I've always hated PvP in other MMOs because of the type of person who usually plays it. I decided I wanted the Dancer dyeable set, though, so I gritted my teeth and queued.
What a breath of fresh air the Crystalline scenario is! I quickly became addicted and got my glamour set in one day. The team made all the right decisions for this, and I hope they continue with more in the future!
I have read, and was told the PvP outfit set is actually available to players through a bit of grind now. I think it's absolutely hideous, but I might do it at some point, to get it just to have it. Haven't tried the PvP yet. I play solo so grouping doesn't matter to me personally. Hopefully it's not too awful. I probably need to move this game back over to my SSD, or just buy a new one, I guess.
I think the most frustrating thing for me as a Sage main is that all the other healers have heals which are easily directable to other players... Where as Sage has Kardia/Kardion, which requires me to switch to a new target, switch to an enemy, use eukrasia and THEN use eukrasian dosis to get a piddly little shield that pops in seconds and I only have 2 stacks of that for all that effort... Yes, Pneuma is great, but the other healers have comparable if not better skills and all are much better equipped in general. It's just... very wonky and unbalanced. I also find the White Mage Limit Break to VASTLY outshine the other healer Limit Breaks.
The PVP mode is fun... but there are SO many balancing issues that the fun of it diminishes very, very quickly.
Got around to play it now and am currently rank 3 on the pass.
I like that matches are over in a few minutes, but I have absolutely no idea what is even happening most of the time, so I just hit buttons randomly lol.
I just wish I could turn off the Playercard show before each match.
I don't care about my own and others plates so please can we get a toggle for it?
Started CC yesterday, and aside from the very long time to respawn, I'm actually enjoying it more than I ever did Feast. Even though the time it takes to respawn can significantly impact your chances of winning as I had a few matches yesterday where an entire team got wiped(or damned near the entire team) and the crystal was pushed more than halfway through towards the goal.
