Yeah... $200 is a bit much.
Yeah... $200 is a bit much.
Will the CE versions be available for pre-order through amazon? And if I pre-order from amazon will I be eligible for early access? I'm kinda interested in the 20% discount from amazon prime, so if they'll have digital CE there as well as early access I might buy from amazon.
I meant the digital CE, sorry if I wasn't clear.
Any word on a Benckmark? With the new system requirements it's a given that a benchmark needs to be released.
Really wish I could get the physical CE without the statue. Regardless, it is so NOT worth $200... kind of full of yourselves trying to charge that much for a CE for a video game.
I wonder, is the next CE going to be $250? Or $300?
This appears only to be the Digitial Download Pages for the release so I'm assuming it's still going to be another supplier that deals with the Physical Collector's Edition?
Also none of the Banners for the Australia Website work correctly, they link directly back to the home page instead of the Pre-Order pages.
You're unfortunately probably right.
My limit was the cost for the ARR CE. Even that was a pretty big disappointment, as I thought we were going to get an actual soundtrack - instead we got a CD with 6 total songs. Six. It's a little sad that my one refusal just means I don't get to enjoy the things I want (I love artbooks and I'm a sucker for cloth maps of fantasy worlds), because SE surely won't notice my purchasing the digital instead of the physical one, but... at least I can feel principled I guess.
So when does gamestop get the PC version of Stormblood for Preorder? lol..all they have on their site is PS4 (no I do not mean collectors edition)
Is there any way to get the digital collectors edition on amazon? Or would my best bet be to preorder stormblood on amazon and then upgrade to collectors at release?
Aww cute, people complaining about a 200 dollar price.
I'm sitting here and my digital download is - after conversion from AUD to NZD is 83.70c. We don't even have the option of the physical edition or the ability to pay in our own currency.
The Australian collectors (digital) is 79.99 dollars. WHich, makes no freaken sense.
It's a Digital download! Why is there such a hike in price difference?
Is the Mac version available for pre order? What are the system requirements for the Mac? Are they the same as they were for Heavensward?

Question I see no one has asked yet!
When will we be able to enter in the code we get for pre-ordering? I know the items won't likely be delivered until early access but it'd be nice to be able to enter the code now. (I keep getting Invalid code)
From:

"* (NA) The Stormblood Collector's Edition is only available on the Square Enix Online Store."
So if you have a NA account and you prefer Amazon (or any other retailer), then yeah, pre-order the regular edition and then get the CE upgrade later.
(Though since they specified that as being true specifically of the NA version, maybe those with EU accounts could get CE from other retailers. Don't know for certain about that, though.)
You should have received an email with a link to a redemption website. After entering the pre-order code there you'll be able to confirm the platform that you want to have early access on. You'll need to click the confirm button twice to ensure the platform you chose is the one you really want. After entering that you should get a pre-order bonus confirmation page and a message indicating that the code to enter in Mog Station will be sent starting February 2017. The pre-order code is not meant for Mog Station.
Although the OP mentioned there will be a Collector's Edition upgrade option again, it didn't list a price for that. Am I right in assuming that, as with ARR & HW, it will be equal to the cost difference between the regular edition and the CE Digital Download (so cost neutral whether you get the in-game CE bonuses initially or later)?
Looking at the information for the Stormblood preorder on the PSN, I saw a line that reads: "Online multiplayer requires a Playstation PLus membership."

Is this a goof on Sony's part or is this a change in policy for PS4 users? Please clarify.
The Collector's Edition was mentioned as being an SE Store exclusive in NA.
The physical Collector's Edition was mentioned as being an SE Store exclusive in EU.
Maybe that's a real difference, or maybe it was just a matter of mentioning the physical version because that's the one that had been asked about. (The post I was replying to was talking about the Digital Collector's Edition, though.)
$200 for a CE is way overpriced. The price of each new CE keeps getting higher and higher. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the 1.0 CE just $75 or $65? What makes this one so expensive? The cloth Eorzea map? It should have gold threading for that price.
I'm living in New Zealand so I will be purchasing it from somewhere here hopefully. EB Games New Zealand only sold their's as an Online Sale to EB Members and only had a limited number left for those outside of it. Ending up purchasing it from Mighty Ape for $399NZD at the end of it all.
Do we get pre order bonus from ordering off of Amazon?
It doesn't say anything about the bonus.
Even Heavensward wasn't this expensive. It was like, 140-150 dollars. with the dragon statue.
(I would know, I have it in storage here). SE really needs to stop overpricing. I have only 700 dollars to work with due to me being on Social Security. And this includes bills/food per month. I mean, they get hundreds of thousand dollars per month/6 months etc, they shouldn't be charging so much for a CE. Be it Physical or digital.
Also, legit question here. Is it possible to do monthly payments on the 200 dollars? Spread it out so we don't have to pay for the entirety of it? It would help a lot for a lot of players. Not to be so stressed out due to them actually having real life expenses and needing to work around them for the 200 physical copy. And SE would sitll get alll of a person's 200, but in increments. 40-50 dollars per month til the entire 200 would be reasonable.
