It takes some work, but can be done if you have a PC with a small hardware purchase. Basically you set up the VPN service on the PC, and install a 2nd network card on the PC to share the connection with the PS3/4
i was able to play for about 2 hours, i logged off to take a break and tried to get back on about a minute ago and the error came back. why this ;/
how do i share my laptop to my ps4 if i download Wtfast? and how can WTFast work on ps4? i mean ....download from my laptop to ps4? or what?
got pc version FFXIV on windows 7 (not steam) and tried WTFast but its not helping, idk if i configured it right. (BTW AT&T is ISP) any help?
It's a very rare thing when I see another person living in Nebraska...it's like finding a needle in a haystack!
Glad to see someone else playing from here also xD
I also have Cox as my ISP in Nebraska.
On topic, I dced last night when this problem first occured around 11:00 pm CST.
It's now 6:31 pm CST and there's still no fix......sigh
ok guys i am in Texas san antonio area and can confirm WTFast worked for me D: soo freakin happy. I will say though that i had to choose under the server on the wtfast application, I had to scroll down to North american central time and then choose wtfast Choose best! hope they helps others D:
I got a report from my Free Company that one of our members was able to long in after trying a bunch of times in a row, but got DCed shortly there after.
ppl in my free company can get on n play but i cant play i got kicked out at 11:33pm cst last night n i still cant get on the game
I cant log ... Goblin server :S
levi server and still cant get in
Edit: Sorry, new to the forum. This was in response to Bellablossom's post.
That seems to be my situation as well. I'd love to have a proper explanation when this is all over with... and hopefully that comes some time soon.
me 2 i miss playing with my family n friends
Levi server here, using ATT uVerse as my ISP in Dallas TX. Got 90k'd last night and still cant log in.. either 10105 or 2002 errors.
I haven't seen tech support post about when we can expect a fix for this problem as it's clearly on their side. As I pay for this game every 6 months and have recently paid for the next 6 I would love this to be a priority.
I guess I'll add my wierdy experience here. At around 1am Eastern last night / early this morning I decided to hop onto my Faerie alt to check her plants. After a really long loading screen I got a 90k. Tried again and a third time with the same result. Then I tried logging back into my Balmung main and got in just fine. Logged out. Tried Faerie again. 90k.
After reading the forums I went through testing my characters and all but my balmung main and one balmung alt were unable to get in. Trying again this evening, it seems the same thing. My main and one Balmung alt can log in fine. My other characters, including the one on Faerie, get 90k and 10105 after long loading screens. The only thing the two that are able to get in have in common is they've both finished the current patch level whereas the others haven't. Not sure why or if that would have anything to do with it but there it is. I'm in central florida, using Brighthouse.
I guess at this rate I might as well kiss my Faerie alt's garden goodbye.
I got booted last night in a1n, and my character was apparently chilling inside of the duty for at least 3 hours. A little bit ago I got back home and was able to log on on my phone, and was able to log in with my character.
Speeds were more abysmal than usual, and I can't guarantee that others won't be locked out, but in my case at least I was able to log back in once I was actually able to get to the character select screen for my datacenter.
Ok my ISP has given me no end of issues regarding ff 14 in the past, but I don't think its my isp this time. I can log in reliably on alt characters but not my main, within the same server. Finally got my main in by exiting B-Net and when i hit the server queue I canceled then connected again (bypassing the queue). Have others tried this method to get in? (currently ingame but seems laggy, so expecting it to DC me at some point)
Edit: Should clarify trying to leave the queue and then trying again immediately as the "try this", not the B-Net part. I just turned off B-Net cuz sometimes it gives me issues in duty finder.
seems it is random others trying this skip the queue but still dc trying to get in. :(
Just checked with my isp. They tried to ping the ip address4 the server and the return ping is timing out. Definitely a server issue on square enix end. Having no issues connecting to anything else. Hope that helps.
After over a month of random disconnects ; Now I can't log in at all. Much as I love this game , I'm abput to cancel til Sq-E gets it's act together.

My most recent gaming console is a N64, so I'm not sure how much you can setup inside a PS4. I do have a PC connected to a cable modem via wired network card, and a wireless network card in my PC turning it into a WiFi hotspot, and you can use a similar setup to connect your PS4 to a VPN.
If your laptop has a RJ45 port and a wireless card, and allows you to use both at the same time, it's fairly simple to set up connection sharing and make your PS4 connection run through your laptop. If not, you can just hook up a cheap USB network card. If you use a wire from the laptop to your PS4, your laptop's network card needs to support Auto MDIX, or you will need to use a crossover cable instead of a normal network cable.
Once you have the connection shared, you set up the shared connection to use the VPN.
There are several guides around the internet, PS4 forums and reddit have some people that can help you out. Also, a search for "PS4 VPN" can give you some idea of what's out there.
This is NOT on SE's side. The issue is with Level 3 and they are experiencing DDoS attacks which is causing this issue. Our ISPs use Level 3's infrastructure to route to the game servers. We're timing out on the Level 3 side. SE's servers are all up and running. Unless YOUR ISP adjusts its routing to by pass Level 3 you will not be able to log in.
I have AT&T. I am on Malboro, My ping test returns the following:

According to the techs for my isp and the error code it is on s.e,'s side and looking through the form I'm not the only one with this result after contancting my provider.
Use an unaffected isp and theres no issue, its your provider.. my home Comcast connection even though it is connected to the internet still continues to give 90006 error and say cannot login to server but when using WiFi Mobile Hotspot thru my Verizon cell phone it works fine thank goodness I am grandfathered on unlimited or I would have lost entire day today
haven't been able to log in all day with AT and T one of my guild mates even said that his room mate could was logged in but that he couldn't even get passed the character screen
Haven't been able to log on all day, get 90002 and 10105. Have Comcast. My server is Malboro. Am really annoyed at this point, it's been all damn day. I can get to the character screen but can't get any further

That's because the techs that you're talking to (even assuming they are techs) are not fully aware of the back bone routing, and so from the point of view of their system, there are no errors on Comcast nodes, and so the errors and time outs are happening "on SE's end". In actual fact there are timeouts at the entry point to Level3's backbone and the Exit point from their backbone. The Comcast folks don't care what happens beyond their network, tey only care about their network, which is operating just fine. So they blame the service provider - in this case SE.
This replicates the tracert output I generated from Charter. once the route leaves charter the 1st hop to Level 3 times out, then I see some level 3 routers and then I get another timeout and see Ormuco, and then on to SE's servers. Basically the interfaces into and out of Level 3 show as problems because Level 3 has an outage preventing it from routing traffic.
Quite why they have a major single point of failure and no fallback position is beyond me.
After not being able to connect for nearly 20 hours with constant 2002 errors, I signed up for the WTFast free trial. I was able to select my character and attempt to login but now got hit with a 90006 error :(
Haven't been able to log on all day, get 90002 and 10105. Have Comcast. My server is Malboro. Am really annoyed at this point, it's been all damn day. I can get to the character screen but can't get any further
I was able to bring up a fully loaded character select screen once, but when I tried to jump in, there was a 20 man que in for Faerie. ? After about 10-15 seconds after the prompt came up I got a disconnect message.
Now, I've been playing on this server for over a year now, and never have I ever ran into a queue to get in. This smells like a rat. I don't want to call names because I don't have the first clue how to properly diagnose the situation... but this can't be good.
22 hours, still 2002 errors. Can't even connect to the data center to attempt to log in to a character. Video games are hard.
Well, I'm not in the US, but I guess the last leg of the connection goes through one of the affected channels or whatever. So we are out of options? Just screwed until someone finally decides to do something? I guess we are not getting any time back or anything because of this?
edit: After many tries, finally logged in. Now a queue of 8 on Siren... Have never seen a queue before, so are we sure this is not a square issue? Weird to even see a queue on that server...
edit2: Just got kicked out... and in a dungeon... and can't get back in :(
Looks like SE just hit the red button. Everyone I was on discord with just said Dropped from Hyperion with close to 300 in queue.
Im Able to log in now ^_^
After trying to remember how to run as admin, I did as the site said and I got in with out any troubles....for the time being that is. Not sure if this helps any but I have Charter Communications did as StouterTaru suggested and I am in. best of luck to everyone.
I was able to get in just now on my Comcast connection but it booted me 2 mins later with 90001 ... progress lol
i finally did got in but only for few mins then got dced and struggle to get back in again Dx
