Um... The fact that I made an analogy against it and that I just said that the analogy refuted your point... I thought it would be clear that, no, we don't agree.

Nobody is even debating what is or what isn't. Just discussing why we agree or disagree. Some people just immediately start frothing at the mouth if someone doesn't share their views.
Oh i see, so you made a color analogy.....oh...thats justifies everything.....I will get the devs on the line and tell them they did it wrong because the 3 of you disagree with the entire rest of the population....I am sure that will bring them too the light....
You made an incorrect assumption.....you feel the need to justify that assumption....fine..I get that.....don't try to press it on us then get angry when we disagree.....
The lore for WHM and BLM is not in game and will be added when they add the jobs.....so lore debate becomes iffy at best with that in mind.
The only truely inherent spells that CON has that are not WHM is the elemental nukes. Every other spell is on WHM in one previous FF game or another......Pretty much every spell that THM has is on BLM in one FF game or another as well....
Wynn, your the one frothing at the mouth...you even got drool on my sig......nasty.
Not sure if you meant literally looks but if so I disagree. THM's in the THM guild are decked out in cowls and metal scepters - White Mages wear hooded robes and traditionally wield metal hammers. CNJ's in the CNJ guild wear robes and pointed hats with sagging points and wield wooden staves - Black Mages wear robes with pointed hats, sometimes with sagging points and wield wooden staves. With that in mind, the new cowl's added into the game support healing magic + while the sagging pointed hats and robes combo support magic attack.
Yes you do lie alot don't you?
feel free to quote whre I said it is "more" elemental. I asked a question, I never stated one spell was more elemental then another. Again you rearrange words and in an attempt to promote someone elses words as something else.
I simply said pointed out that THM nukes are elemental based as well.
Again you need a dictionary.......look up "statement".... then ...look up "question".....
then compare your answer.
Again, in true liars fasion, you post a question I asked and attept you claim it as a statement.
Wow, you're pulling at straws and backpeddling quite a bit here.
Say what you want, but question or not, you clearly phrased your question to emphasize in favor of THM spells being more elemental. You were challenging others to come up with something "more elemental than having 3 elements in 1." So we took up that challenge.
This is clear, anyone can see it, so stop trying to change your stance and stand by your own words.
Again people making ASSumption. Telling us what we really meant. When in fact a question is a question and a statement is a statement.
No need to childishly accuse me of changing my stance, when your incapable of seperating the meaning of a question and a statement.
THM don't have Cure or stuff like Stoneskin and Protect natively, that fact shouldn't be a big surprise. I wonder how classes is going to change after the adjustments.
As Wynn said, you made a rhetorical question, so we're treating it as such. The fact that you're denying something we can clearly read is absurd.
But yeah, I'm done. I'd like to have an intelligent debate, but that's not going to happen anytime soon if this is how you're going to be acting.
whatever, I have all battlecraft at 50 anyways lol
Any interest in magic classes going....
Going....
...and gone.
This thread is cracking me up. I had no idea people were still in denial over this, lol.
The writing's been on the wall since 1.18...
Because I enjoy nuking as a mage but I hate everything about THM.
So yeah I feel pretty screwed.
I also believe (personal opinion incoming) that SE is using this as an excuse to avoid putting any work into making CNJ nukes look half decent because they look like shit atm and because CNJ won't be using them on their 'job' there's no need to fix them.
(Just to be clear, I assumed as soon as they removed AoE toggle on cures and gave CNJ the only AoE cure that they would probably be the healer class. I was just hoping SE would pleasantly surprise me. Today I've learned never to hope for anything from SE...)
Especially when it takes less then a week to get any Class to 50. I've said it for months THM would be BLM but I still leveled CNJ first (Because I actually like healing). Regardless though, answer this. Out of the lat 10 or so groups that you've done (general question) as a CNJ. What role did you play? Were you the nuker and the THM sitting in the group the healer? Granted as THM I always back up heal when needed. Patch 1.18 pretty much gave everyone the chance to get THM to 50 when they should've known CNJ was going to be, our little whm.
I'm sorry if people thought a job based around enfeebling should ever be a nuking class? Where this logic came from I'll never understand either. A class that get TWO nukes (two tier 1, two tier two) in their entire freaking arsenal (no wait, Shadowsear so 3) is chosen to be the nuking class over a job that has 6 tier ones, 6 tier two, and 6 ancient magic spells along with 6 tier one elemental enfeebles and 6 tier two.
That...makes...so much sense!
PS: Why are people still argueing over this stupid subject. It is what it is, if you don't have THM leveled, take a couple hours out of your day standing in Ul'dah and go group. Next week you will have a 50 THM and everything will be just fine.
You only need 30 THM at most anyways =P
How could you not see this coming? Conjurer gets Curaga 2 :P
It's really not even about the time it'll take to level since, as Este said, you'll probably not even need 50 THM anyways.
It's that I don't want to play THM for any reason. I don't like their lore, the story, the spells, the concept. I have never liked anything about THM, even when they had AoE cures and it sucks that SE is giving the DD mage role to a class that has NEVER, EVER been about damage. Even way back when (in Tanaka's days) THM was an Enfeebler and back up healer. It feels kind of like Yoshi just got up one morning as was like "Ok, CNJ = healer, THM = Nuker. My work is done!"
Thats it boys keeps on pushing it.
Your angry because you were making incorrect ASSumptions. Keep on pushing the logic of how the devs chose the wrong mage class for the wrong job. I am certain you will convinve all of us and the devs of the error of our ways.
making this thread.
Why do people take this shit so seriously?

(It's not a big deal)
We can't lock our own threads can we? You have grown as a person and moved on, OP. Thus the story should end.
