So the person that decides if it going to get nerfed or not is going to do the spanking?

How is wheeping city harder than any other 24man content?lol xD
When people don't know the difference from right / left / back and when they don't understand "stand still, don't attack", it's not a problem of nerfing the raid or not.
After 10 hours of try, I still need a clear.
I support this too. Do not nerf it. I even encourage to do more.
Signed. I admit things got pretty frustrating, it took me 4 separate raid attempts to clear, but it was more rewarding in the end. Granted, going in with my full static probably helped as well xD
Oh, and on the topic of nerfing, for the love of God, don't nerf Nidhogg HM either. It's at the perfect level of difficulty right now.
I don't see why it would be nurfed. Granted took me 4 seperate attempts to clear it, but it is not impossible and I kind of enjoyed it. One of the better raids.
Please, don't nerf this.
A+, love the inter-alliance rage this raid causes; please don't take it away from me SE!!!
Huh? Oh, what, I guess I like the challenge and mechanics of the bosses too, probably. (Mostly the rage, though.)
Please do not nerf Weeping City.
If anything, please create more content that is just as challenging on Duty Finder.
Just adding another voice to those requesting that Wiping City not be nerfed. It's really not that difficult. Once people learn to execute/avoid mechanics properly it will be more faceroll content. However, I am very appreciative of the fact that it is not faceroll content currently. With increasing ilvls and more and more people becoming accustomed to how to handle mechanics, it won't be long before the raid will be easily cleared by anyone who attempts it so long as they are willing to devote their full attention to the raid and not "watch Netflix on another monitor" while attempting the raid.
Just did it, was a blast of fun.
Adding my voice in as well, even if I haven't gotten to it yet. I find myself looking forward to the challenge.
/signed this raid is NOT HARD people need to learn mechanics SE doesnt need to baby its players its actually really fun i like it way better then VA
Not this bad.Quote:
People are forgetting how bad WoD was the first week.
yeah please dont drop the nerfhammer but I think we should be telling square

jk jk I for one welcome more challenging raids like this
I concur. I want more raids like Weeping City, we need more challenging middle ground content outside of Savage raids. I'll be extremely disappointed if this gets hit with the nerf hammer.
Agreed.
I had a ton of fun my first time through. It was challenging and reminded me of CT/ST the first few weeks. It's okay to be challenged and it's okay to try, fail, and get better. As iLvls go up the crummy players will contribute more while still being crummy and the QQing will stop. Honestly it wasn't even that hard. Sure it was tough but it wasn't Titan HM at minimum iLvl "back in the day" hard.
Nerf the treasure chests I feel like ragequitting everytime I see similiar wraist gear drop in one. :(
The best 24 man raid ever I've played in this game. Only my dices need a buff. I rolled just an 1 for the crafting mat :(
I, for one, cannot see it, not even on the bar, or once every now and then. To a point that I have to stand still until pyramid time goes away and changes. How this sounds ? silly.
Other then that, the fight is not hard ...just new. Is all in a while, we will have the exact same complains we hear daily for VA.
Nerf it or not nerf it to me it doesnt matter.. I enjoy the fight either ways. I would be one of those neutral voices.
Wait what!? Whats wrong with Weeping City?
It's fine the way it is! o.O
It's the best 24 man raid and was very enjoyable since the beginning until the end.
I was just expected the music boss battle from FF IX for Ozma, but it does not matter.
Great job for those who designed the fights :)
Here's my opinion on the Weeping City, I don't think it's overtuned, but I think it could use a few adjustments, of course this is all my opinion:
First boss:
1. Being on the web should negate that first draw in during the whirlpool phase entirely instead of you having to run back to it when you're already on it.
2. I think her damage when she pops back up is a little too high, unless you're dead center you should be able to survive it. I've seen cases of people not being in the center and about halfway to the outer wall get one shot anyway, I think that's too much damage.
3. I think the add down below should either have it's HP reduced so it can be burned down quicker or reduce it's damage so you don't need a tank to go down there with it.
Second boss:
1. In my opinion the punishing beams should have the "stand in this indicator" we see for attacks.
2. During the Megadeath cast phase there is a certain issue where the green clouds sometimes spawn green circles during the near end of the cast I feel the window to get in there is too small.
3. More of a general complaint, I'm REALLY sick and tired of "kill these adds before the boss charges up his ultimate and one shots your raid" as a mechanic. Can we have one 24m raid without it? Please? I can't be the only person that's tired of this.
Third boss:
1. More consistency in his meteors. Maybe it's an intended mechanic, maybe it's not, but the meteor spawns with the blast circles seem really inconsistent in their timing. It's hard to put in to words but it seems like it doesn't do them consistently.
In one attempt near the end he went pyramid and cast a bunch of meteors then in another attempt at around the same % and roughly the same amount of time fighting he went pyramid and barely cast it at all. Again, not sure if intended or bugged but please make the mechanic more predictable.
Final boss:
Overall I think she's tuned perfectly fine minus a few small complaints.
1. Give the scythes a telegraph or make them more visible, in my opinion they're a little hard to see especially with the giant boss in the way.
2. Put the "stand here" indicator on the axe plants.
Those are my only real gripes with the place, besides that the damage and such is pretty intense but manageable.
Edit:
Only feeling I got after winning it last night was "I'm so happy it's finally over, I'm not looking forward to doing it again!" But I will, because I want my 240 gear even if I have to suffer for it.
We need more challenging content. The loss of achievement that isn't derived from hours of grinding has weight heavy on me.
I do not dare speak for others, but given this thread I'd be hard pressed to say I am alone in wanting difficult content with equally valuable rewards.
While the majority of gamers today seem to want easy content, please do not follow them down this rabbit hole with eyes closed and wallets open.
Dang this thread is still going. Nice!!
Uh... I don't mean to sound like a jerk but... assuming this isn't a troll post.... Almost all final fantasy games have infuriating bosses. Almost all MMOs have infuriating bosses. Why are you playing this game if you don't like a challenge?
I dunno, maybe I just can't understand it because I play games for a challenge and I find the challenge itself fun. You get a bigger feeling of accomplishment when you clear something that is hard. If a game DOESN'T get me really pissed and angry at some point, it's doing it wrong.
(Pst, if you don't like it, you don't have to do it. Just because you like easy content doesn't mean that it should be nerfed >.> They have pandered to people who like easy content for far too long already.)
Anyway, add my name to the "Don't Nerf" list :D
Difficulty is decent. Some punishing mechanics but not punishing enough to wipe the entire raid instantly unless all 24 people ignore it, most can still be healed through even if a mistake happens. Player base ruins it by instantly leaving and spamming vote abandon after one wipe. Still end up clearing it all with refills.
Would be a pain to farm with all the leaving though.
Yeah, something about that attack feels a bit off. I've gotten one-shot HUGGING THE EDGE OF THE ARENA THE ENTIRE MECHANIC.
Also I'd like the option to be able to repair other people's gear. People's gear breaking shouldn't be grounds for an automatic vote abandon.
(Actually, why do we still even have gear durability?)
Only thing that needs to be changed is Ozma battle music
After completing it a few times, I think it's a little harder than the WoD when it first came out and it's gonna be better when people learn the mechanics.
Problem is all the filthy hardcore casual that just sub when there's new content, then unsub once they are done with it, this is the problem right now. They don't care about progression , achievement , mechanic, they just want to get carried for the gear and get it done.
Ya'll notice how the 2nd boss is a casual killer? People can't do simple mechanic, it's crazy. It's so simple, that i usually type 'well, we've arrived at the casual killer, let's see who gets pwned', first thing you know, after some people explain the mechanic, most of the healers/dps are dead, then the tanks.
Second try, they get a bit farther, but don't kill the succubus first or have enough DPS, because a bunch of them have 200/210 wpn, and ride off the 230 lore gear to get in contents.
It's just sad to have our time wasted on trash like that.
Hmm I haven't tried WC yet but something in your post hits me the wrong way. I';m currently gearing - I just started not too long ago- and only have a 200 weapon. So I''m shit cause I don't have a 230 weapon right now? Forgive me if that's not what you mean but it comes off like that. Again I'm not even doing WC cause I don't have a 230 weapon yet.
If they were to "nerf" it for groups that really have trouble with the mechanics just throw the echo in. Eventually they will have enough DPS that they can burn it fast.
As a raid its fun and actually somewhat difficult but doable content. Certainly better then Void Ark which requires a massive amount of combined fuckups or not knowing the mechanics at all to wipe in.
