Are you sure you read those prices right ? Because on my server the materials used to make 1 coke are being sold for 500k-800k ea, and you need 20 of those. Which would make the raw material cost 10 to 16m. Which would be raised even higher due to the requirement of red scrafter scrips to make the refined material.
Im not sure where you get the 2.5m from. I havent read that in any post.
16m-18m on Ultros.

also here are screenshots of Moogle's MB

Life must be pretty nice on moogle.
That said, that still means the costs of 1 item is about 15 to 20m in raw materials alone, before adding in the cost of the Red Crafter Scrips.
Based on your screenshots I would say the current seller of the purified coke is the person who bought them: a profiteer looking to resell them.
So 10 ooids for 150k each and 10 BTN mats for 200k each means you're looking at 3.5 million per mat, and that's not even counting the cost of the crafting tokens. For crafts that require 3-4 of those, you're looking at 15m+. Even the ring, which requires only one mat, costs 4m+. Sorry, that's still not 2.5m and Moogle is no better than most servers.
you would have to read all the posts to understand that i never said it costs 4m to craft the item.
Quote:
Going by the prices right now mats cost at max 20 million, its still alot but no way 300 mil, ppl overreacting again
nah hes also selling Odorless Animal Fat for 7m ea right now, so i guess he made that himself and is trying to gain profit by selling to some rich crafters (which will never happen anyway)Quote:
Right now coke is being sold for 800k ea on moogle, thats 4m a mat, someone on the crafting subforum said that he bought the astral birch ingredient for 2,5m. These are actual prices that ppl would also pay, not some inflated pseudo prices.
The prices of hundreds of millions are not pseudo prices. The person you quoted who bought materials for 2.5m could only do so because he or she still had Red Crafting Scrips left, of which there are only so many to be had each week.
Tell me, are there any refined materials on Moogles Marketboard, and if so; how much are they being sold for?
Did you even read his thread? He directly bought Dryad Sap, not the materials to trade for Dryad Sap.
And no these 2 are the only refined materials on Moogle right now, but its only been 4 days. I'm sure in like 2 weeks we will see alot more of that stuff.
Posting on my gf's account because daily post limit reached lol
I begin to consider making profit when changing server, buy it there and sell it on an other server...
Most crafters in one of my crafting linkshells have decided to plainly stop their progression. Nothing to strive for on this patch, red scrip gear is not worth it. Not worth the cheapest turn in or the deepest gil sink in materials for the crafted version.
If 30ish crafters on a server can be of any measure, thank you square enix, you made lots of people to just "quit" at their favorite activity on the game. Grind and time sinks can only be pushed so far before players which even love said activity start to abandon it.
I hope red scrip gear is desynthable :)
And this wont be mentioned or fixed for 3 months enjoy crafting and pve not connecting what so ever for the entire first wing of the expansion wow gj yoshi.. not
Everyone gets the problem except trolls.
What amazes me is that you think that somehow this was a mistake, like somehow the devs thought it'd be fun but messed up.
I've said this before and it is worth repeating, every single action and moment in this game is motivate by "how can we make this piece of content take far, far, far more time to complete than it should?"
That's why you do everything in this "game" 50' 200' 1,000x
They don't want you to finish, ever, until their next ff mmo is released.
The devs don't ever want you to leave, and they don't ever want you to finish.
Their entire job is to draw out the content in this game to the brink of making you quit, but don't.
That's really all they have done since day 1.
Welcome to mmo's, if you like that, cool.
But please, understand that this is not a mistake. This is exactly what they want, they want you gathering, collecting, grinding, crafting, raiding endlessly until they shut the servers off.
Most people know what's going on, and they don't care. They are just here to mindlessly waste their time with each other. It really doesn't matter how ridiculous or painfully drawn out it gets, cause this isn't a game in any traditional sense. Mmo's are a place for people to check out of their life. They are a device to trick yourself into feeling accomplishment. Not saying people who stay here are losers, but we all do lose a great deal of time being here.
Read about it.
Anyway, scripts aren't a mistake, they aren't any worse than supra was, it's just more of the same
I had my gathering scrips done in 2 nights and my crafting scrips done in about an hour. Was easy and not to worried about getting the items from them since they really aren't needed for anything right now anyways.
Am I the only one who thinks it's not that bad?
I capped purely from weaver. WEAVER. Farming chimera manes and deepeye tears for a few hours sucked, as well as wasting ventures for materials, but I still capped before the reset.
I suspect once my culinarian is 60 and has the master book it'll be way easier to cap. I feel the whole 'favor' system for gatherers that you have to do to get these scrip materials is a much better use of my time to complain about.
No fix for you! Please look forward to it " Yoshi"
Dare I ask, how did you get the other materials? Things like Hallowed Water and dissolvents don't exactly craft themselves, and you can't send retainers out on ventures to get them either. That means you probably spent gil to buy them or crafted them yourself, meaning you didn't purely cap on weaver alone.
At high level, there's almost no craft that doesn't require the use of at least one of the other crafts. And right now, market prices are quite high so it would exclude all but the very wealthy to try and buy every material needed. Add to that the need for specialized items in some of the recipes, and you can see why so many people are upset.
I started 3.0 with a similar amount of gil, and within 2 weeks I had not only 8/8 DoH to lv60 with M3 books, but also 3/3 DoL lv60... and I have managed to make back most of my costs within the past month. The secret? Gathering your own materials and not being ashamed to ask a few friends to help you out.
In fact, I often bartered my crafting skills in exchange for some materials I needed at the time.
One thing so many people overlook are the GC hand ins... A starred HQ item can net you up to half a level of exp!! (not joking, I've got up to 1.8m exp from a single hand in)
Could I have leveled my crafts even faster? sure.. if I wanted to dump even more money into it.. but my DoLs levelled rather painlessly just gathering materials I needed for DoH, GC hand ins and collectables!
EDIT: I wont lie... having leveled retainers also helped out A LOT for certain materials (looking at you ltw....)
Don't forget that when you run a dungeon for esoterics, you pay 200k gil for it and give up to chance to gain anythinig but the esoterics from it.
The clearest message you can send: Ditch crafting until they resolve this mess.
Nothing speaks to a developer like the players refusing to interact with content they deem unworthy of their time.
Feel like you took that too literally. When I say I capped from weaver, I mean I did it 100% from weaver turn ins.
I had all crafts at level 50 before the expansion, so all I had to do was farm some deepeye tears and blue coral and craft Normal quality dissolvents.
Never needed hallowed water though, red scrip turn ins don't use that.
Maybe not supra, but I definitely spent way less capping red scrips than I did on the master II book. That's still the worst crafting thing ever.
You are just straight up lying.
It's not possible and no one should ever take you seriously again, as you are a confirmed liar.
What was your gathering rotation?
What nodes did you hit for your red gathering scrips?
Unless you magically started HW with all your folklore unlocked, and magically had 150 pentamelded gathering gear instantly in your inventory at launch... It took you a lot longer than 2 nights to cap your scrips.
That is so farsical it doesn't even deserve a response.
What are your crafter stats that you used to cap red?
What are your gatherer stats to cap red?
Lmao, 2 nights... Unless night = 16hrs to you, you are flat out trolling hard.
Like it or hate it, don't let anyone tell you that the time investment for this script system is not hardcore cause it is.
Take a look at my crafters and gatherers. I know what I'm talking about.
I literally gather from 5-12 am & pm Eorzea and it's more than 2 days.
Crafting red scrips ARE easy to cap, gathering is not.
Also, he's clearly not including the time commitment to even be able to touch the nodes necessary to get a single red scrip.
And now you have capped red scrips once, what have you gained?
In terms of effort/cost vs reward, there is no comparision, the master books were great once you unlocked them.
Also possible to farm the mats for master II books, if cost was an issue, they were also a skill check and imo that was a good thing.
I'll cap red scrips again this week (costing even less than it did the first week since I maxed CUL this morning, and still way less than master II books) and I'll have my weaver chest piece.
I might equal the cost of master II books once I have the full set, maybe. But with how ridiculous of a gil sync desynth can be, I tend to doubt it.
I can see where you are coming from, though.
Whelp add my name to the list of not doing Red Scrips, just looked into it and decided it's not worth my time. Guess I'll step in line as the casual crafter I was always meant to be.
i did the gather scripts, then did the favor system, capped scripts on crafter.
this took me hours, i burned through hundreds of mats, over 1k crystals, and my reward? 10 coke :/
i took that coke and sold it for 10mil gil and will never farm that crap again.
this is a game to have fun, not some chinese sweat shop we have to work 60hrs to farm items to make 1 thing.
Umm, plenty of people have done the same thing. If you have both mining and botany leveled, capping red scrips isn't that bad unless you can only play for like an hour a day... Buy an HQ offhand from the market board, then work on blue scrips to get the full set of gatherer equipment... Then start on your red scrips which are cake to get.
Crafters scrips are a lot harder to get if you don't have a ton of gil. Again I suggest buying an HQ main and offhand for your main crafter. I personally bought a lot of HQ materials from the AH to ensure high collectability ratings since a lot of my friends and FC mates weren't really into high level crafting/gathering yet, but if you have the option of working with someone you know so you don't have to pay outrageous prices, then that is ideal. Anyway, you can almost literally buy your crafter red scrips from the market board, and you can do it whenever you want unlike gathering nodes.
What I mean is, what use is that crafter chest going to be to you? (apart from a very cool glamour!!)
Any craft in game can be done without any of the 3.05 gear, where as with the master II books they unlocked a lot of new (and profitable) crafts.
Even if the new gear does help slightly with 2* crafts, where are you going to get the mats to actually make any of them?
^^
True, but I mean it's not like these are the last crafts we'll ever see. And whatever crafts they add in the future will more than likely require this gear, so it's good to be prepared.
Though either way, I'm really just doing this to get my weaver pimp suit.
http://i.imgur.com/enCeIiT.png
Everyone needs a pimp suit.
Desynthing cost me maybe 2 million. And then I went and desynthed Artisan's Tools untill I had enough gil for a mansion.
Money lost to desynth leveling was easily made up with desynthing.
Incidentally, simply by capping red scrips again you won't have an item made. You will also need to farm out favors.
Weaver is one (the) main class for me. Always has been, since 1.0.
I really dislike how they had to make something incredibly gaudy as AF2.
... I think he's not lying. I cap my gatherer scrip during weekend using all HQ gears non-melded (601GP). I have no folklore unlocked, so I gather Adamantite ore, Cryshal Green using (DE+MA)x3 yield 2 itemsper node so I got 64 scrip each eorzean day.
If I miss something, I'm apologize, just want to point out he may not lying.
but still, I hope it will be less time consuming with incoming fix.
