It reminds me of My Little Ponies. That's why it's horrible.

I want to feel bad-ass and down tough bosses with my bad-ass mount. Not a freaking my little chocobo. What the heck? Lets turn Ridill into 'teeny-weeny excalipooh' and Gladiator into 'biker mouse from mars' while we're at it.

You don't have to turn every feature into a pop culture/FF7 reference.

Next time tell the translator to avoid this sort of needless trollbait by keeping his/her own questionable hobbies out of Yoshi's letters. I'm sure the community appreciates the attempt to make Yoshi seem more carefree and relaxed, but words like 'derp' and references to a children's cartoon in every single letter should be left out.

Yoshi's literal words were 「マイチョコボ（仮称）」, "My Chocobo (tentative name)" The "My" is English. He might have been refering to My Little Pony, he might not have, but the translation was not a far stretch, lol. And it was funny. :)
