hahahha with less then 30k subs on a free game? really thats your answer lol? again you have no point to bring up in this debate so why attack me? at least bring up a smart point first THEN attack me lol.

OMG this mmo is so gonna suck
No, you've completely missed the point. You would meet and interact with more people if out of the crafting classes possible you can only master 1 to max. It gives their selected mastery value, because you will be needing that goldsmither, that tanner, for different forays and to help craft that level 75 gear you want.
If everyone was able to master crafting everything, like in your example, it makes establishing an economy's value more difficult, and DoH becomes more and more something cheapened. There will be more and more crab bows in the gutters of Uldah, and crafters would not be a persued commodity in linkshells. A crafter should have worth in the game, a knowledge of trade secrets, but not the ability to corner the whole synthing business.
It says "in the case of single parties, the party with the first attacker will receive the rewards." It relates back to the previous statement, basically saying that if you undertake alliance content NOT in an alliance, the first party to attack gets the reward in their loot pool, because there is no "claiming" during that content. That's my understanding at least.
Edit: Whoops, I see someone already addressed this. Carry on with the debate about crafting then.
I'm sure I don't understand that last part. Anyway you can complain all you want especially if it something broken, not fun, or overly complicated. But in this case the Devs want to change the vision for DOH and may not be willing to budge on the issue. At that point, he either needs to pay up or move on to another game.
if someone have 3-5 crafts MAXED atm the possibilities of them maxing them again on alts are pretty high.
What you say only would work IF you could not make alts at all.
The only thin this does is give people who dont care about paying extra the possibility to have more than those who doesn't.
You know how many people in ffxi had over 3-4 crafts at max , way to many. This changes nothing at ALL.I seen this system before.I hated it, and i will hate it here again.
edit:
Is a mechanic put in place to make more money. To give those who do pay more an edge.im sorry but i will never feel this is a good thing in a MMO.No matter what you all want to see " the good side" of it.
thanks reinheart for the translations.
i wish that they would give us those informations more frequently over the lodestone/forums aswell tho, and to spice things up add some artwork, like how they're planning to remodle the maps and all that.
you can never give too few informations, every bit of info on changes this game will undergo are great infos!
Since people obviously skipped over some of what i said before
there are ways to limit "mastering" crafts without imposing restrictions to levels you can earn on them
think about it
Has to be something to do with SE and Famitsu... with any SE games it's like Famitsu gets exclusive or special info over most others and at same time Famitsu ratings for SE games is almost a lie everytime now... it's just sales/marketing strategy between the two companies or something I think.
i have not miss anything. You said its impossible to be social without this limit on crafts i disagreed and gave examples as to why. Just because i dont NEED anyone JUST to repair does not mean WONT need TO BE SOCIAL because to do any end game i need to be soical to get gear and do raids.
you my friend have missed the point. crafts are a solo thing not a social thing.
Also You have never played game where everyone has capped everything because it will never happen. i do not even wonna TOUCH DoL and there will be people who do not want to touch DoH. never will a fanbase ever have every job capped Especially not crafting lol. thats just silly you go to the extreme to prove you point.
actually i dont. SE will not refund me for the money i spent to "spend it eslewhere" I bought this game because i can level everything i wanted. i like to grind its fun for me and this MMO allows me to level everythingi want. i purchased this game for that reason so to take away that reason will be a bad move.
in short it is "complicated" because i had no clue this game was gonna limit everything it started out not limiting.
itt: butthurt crafters
waaah! waaah!

Is there any possibility to kick people who derail a thread from the thread?
Or to temporarily blacklist them so their posts don't show?
And to make sure my own post actually contributes something more valuable:
Relax. Actually the Japanese original is far less definite. The author just says that he "thinks that there was something written that somehow sounded like a restriction that only one crafting class can be mastered to the extreme". And he isn't even sure about whether he read that right.
Check this out.
Click the link, scroll down to the Land and Hand portion of the first post, read that, something along those line will probably be given, except you won't be able to unlock all the "Advanced Jobs" for the Disciples of the Hand, you will have to pick a focus. Now granted those Advanced jobs are really focused, they might make them a little more broad, but I don't think they are saying you wont be able to level up your crafting classes anymore, what about the people who have multiple rank50 DoH classes?
If you can recall, Square-Enix already said they will not do anything that forces people to reroll or alter a character that already has progressed in the game (ie having multiple rank 50s in DoH area), so yes I can see something more along the ideas of what I suggested in the link to happen more than I can see the traditional FFXI style happening.
So in light of all that, you guys shouldn't be getting too upset, sure you will have to specialize in a certain craft but its that all bad? Like some are saying it does promote being socially involved (yes I know the coin is two-sided and you can in fact have all the crafts 50 and still be social, but that is a choice; while this setup would be a mandate) My personal opinion on the matter:
Anything that further specializes the classes, I'm all for it, we are too generalized as it stands now anyway, we need things to make us different, things to make us wanted, things to make us special.
Nice post Omega
can we just please stay on topic. Rein and Eva, thanks for all the info ^^
Interesting information. Thanks for the translations guys!
Looking at your levels you must be joking... but anyways...
Says on 2ch from guys who read the magazine interview
Quote:
エオ通読んではっきり感じた
パッチ1.20来るまでは戻らなくて良さそうだw
でもそれ以降はまじ戻った方が良さそうだ
I felt this after reading Eotsu (magazine)
Don't have to return (play) until 1.20 patch
But after really should come back.
So they are saying 1.20 is a godsend patch?
Rein is there anymore information to be translated or have you just not had enough time to finish it?
Hmm...Less complaining, more hype over the fact that new classes and jobs(and perhaps even redesigned towns seeing as they have some rough drafts) have a very good chance of being out by the end of the year.
Still wants me some pet classes/jobs though. ^^d
Guuuuns! I have waited for yoooou! 8) <3
Anyone know of any site in English where this can be purchased on the web?
Ah, are you sure? It comes up for me! Here's a direct link : http://www.play-asia.com/Final_Fanta...n-70-4bvd.html
Thanks for the translations Reinhart!
Really excited to hear they are planning on releasing the new Classes when Jobs release. It'll be nice to have another mage Class in the game. Still looking forward to more info about Jobs though.
Famitsu is out of print =( I wonder if there's any chance of them doing more to sell, probably not.
Also Amazon JP sells it in this moment but 'international shipping' cost is very expensive.. :/
wait a minute on the Famitsu web page it reads: 2011年(<-year)07月(<--month)30日(<---day)
Meaning this issue was on sale only 3 days ago. I placed my play-asia order yesterday and I think it's probably really unlikely that they sold out only in a day so maybe I was wrong earlier about it not being in stock anymore. Then again Famitsu is a weekly magazine so normal western on-sale assumptions don't apply. Did anyone else get a confirmation e-mail of their order being sent yet?
Seif, i also think it's still in preorder on Play-Asia and not out of stock.
I'm all for limiting the number of crafts you can master, it's a good way to combat bot crafters who have everything maxed out. But I would prefer the cap at two rather than one.
Evangelus, you're a funny French man typing traduction. hehehe Anyway, you should use these links, they take you directly to Reinheart's posts. It better for people that have more than 10 posts per page.
