Yes, it is boring.
WoW: hooked me for roughly 8 years.
Pre-cu SWG: hooked me of 1.5 years (8+ years emulator).
Rift: 9 months.
SWToR: 5 months.
AOC: 3 months.
Cabal: 3 months.
Runes of Magic: 4 months.
Requiem: 6 months.
UO: 2 years.
EQ: 2 years.
GW2: 1.5 years, still play it and is where I go after doing my myth cap...if it had trinity, I would not even have tried this game. heh.
Everything else: 1 month 'trial'.
This MMO, at least for launch has no hook and it's extremely light end game content wise. And no, I do not consider levelling a crafting class as 'content'...sorry hitting macros is dull.
Also like to point out that most those MMOs I was solo for most of them except WoW/pre-cu swg/Rift/EQ yet they still had enough things to do to keep me logging in daily.
FF 14: right now, past three weeks I log in one day per...just enough to do 8 AKs...
Ok yes, I guess this MMO is just not for me. Compared to all the MMOs I listed...MOST of them had min 2x the things to do than here + almost all of those MMOs had PvP at launch unlike here...each their own I guess.
p.s. problem is there a lack of decent MMOs right now and this particular one has been launched at the perfect time; there is an MMO drought right now. I like how the game plays and looks but I don't like that there is jack all really to do which is the problem. Also dislike their 3+ month time to release patches, I am going to guess that consoles might be to blame here since they are a) limited in capability b) have an extremely long process time to get patches 'passed'? Hum. GW2 is b2p, and runs purely on their gem store YET they can have content updates every 2 weeks but a 20 buck a month MMO cannot? Ok then.
