Attention Tanks and DPS: It's not always the healers fault!

exactly the kind of mistake I wouldn't heal a DPS for :D

for now most aoes from bosses won't OS you, but in future instances it might not be the case, you should probably rethink how you're choosing to avoid aoes...

(maybe don't even try to end your cast and move right away, I do it even if I'm healing, why don't you, a dps, do it too ? )

PLD stun is greatly affected by GCD, if the offtank misses a stun, it is because they were DPSing and got caught mid GCD. There's a reason that the main tank doesnt just stun everything. Only way to get all of the erruptions for sure is to just auto attack and stun. The only other reason for it to not work, is somebody stunned the boss when they werent supposed to and put it on diminishing returns.

Healing is no fun. Always the first to get blamed besides the tank.

This. Even though we try our best we still get abused/harassed/bashed/blamed for getting someone killed when its not entirely our fault. Theres alot more abuses for Tanks than healers in my experience. The reason why I became a tank is because there are a low supply of tanks in game and people need them to run dungeons/primals, etc ,etc, however My Motivation for playing as a Tank has just gone down the hill. People can just do it themselves if they aren't going to appreciate us being a tank and putting our effort into the fight for them. I also had to deal with 2 jerks in game, and Im not happy about it either.

Oh I thought this thread was about responsibility and who is to blame, and your example is pretty bad in terms of responsibility, in fact your mistakes is the healers responsibility, that's what I'm saying and I even gave you the healer version, you don't seem too happy.

Again, a very very difficult task...what's your point? Do you think taking out adds appearing right in front of your screen to be hard? Given your long experience with MMO's, this shouldn't be an issue, but I am truly grateful for anyone who does their job.

The tank is the one who saves the healer's rear end, I've yet to have a healer pull aggro off me aside from the few moments after a heavy hitting pull.

If ur not going to quote my whole comment Dont state a question pertaining to a portion of it that u are not showing. In any case, primals are a different story. In the case of primals and any boss fight there are attacks that CANNOT be dodged and of course I'll heal the whole party. What I'm referring to are the attacks that can be dodged and hate that can be managed.

If I pull hate as a healer then I see it as my own job to save my own ass for my mistake of pulling hate. I will usually repose the mob till the tank can pull it back off of me. Its not hard.

a DD should be avoiding those circles at all costs, a healer should be choosing to get hit IF they NEED to save someone and know they can take the hit. There is actually quite a difference, a caster who gets hit by red circles all the time is going to become an mp sink and thats bad and can make esuna or healing others more difficult. Occasionally getting hit? It happens and that is part of the healer's job. Doesn't mean its ok to not pay attention though or make the same mistake repeatedly.

unfortunately its not often the healers fault they pull hate. Typically that means someone is taking far too much damage, or the group as a whole. The way to not pull heal aggro is to 1) not overheal, this is on the healer or 2) not heal....this is obviously not a viable choice the majority of the time
