How dare you drag logic into this...erm...post.

What you're descibing is people who - for various reasons - decide not to share their opinion on the game. You don't know if they like it all or only parts, what issues they have and what they would change...
This doesn't make them casuals. It makes them silent in the context of leaving feedback.
Correct, and that's your average casual player.
They don't bother with leaving feedback, they don't bother with complaining on forums.
They just play, or move on.
The amount of people making these threads, and participating in them, compared to the amount of people actually playing is statistically speaking neglectable.
Not saying feedback isn't needed, but a casual player just doesn't care.
EDIT: Try googling the question: "What is a casual player", and you'll see where I'm coming from.
What narrative?
I'm simply answering the question about what is a casual player.
NekoNova is right tho, your average casual player doesn't go either on forums or reddit. And it's the same for every game, no matter the genre. They play, if they like it, good, if they don't, they just go to another game or whatever they enjoy.
Reddit, forums, or any form of social media is such a small portion of a community compared to the overall playerbase of a game.
I think it's very strange how for years all the most toxic people in FFXIV have been "hardcore raiders" and suddenly now people are saying it's the casuals who are toxic?
Hmmm
really makes you think
"No ur group is more toxic than mine"
Lol.
Literally equal amounts of toxicity in every single category of player.
Both have had their time but yeah there was always a ‘raiders BAD’ vibe for a while before the ‘toxic casual’ thing started. Think it started around Heavensward / Stormblood lol, then when Shadowbringers came out suddenly the community were filthy toxic casuals lol.
Somehow the FFXIV community has managed the incredible feat of being both ‘raid-brained’ hardcore parser fiends and toxic militant casuals. Neither is true if you ask me
