As a new RDM main myself, I admit that I haven't gotten all the way to 90 yet, still leveling, but I do agree that the job needs a buff. It does feel weak in comparison to some of the melee DPS jobs; not bad, per se, but it's noticeable, especially in comparison to even other casters. The supposed trade-off in DPS with being able to heal and raise teammates in exchange really doesn't come into play as often as the devs seem to think; if the fight gets to the point where RDM has to pull healer duty, then it's safe to say that a wipe is already imminent, in most cases.
In general, I think that both the magic and melee could use something of a buff; given that RDM is supposed to be a combination between the two, it makes sense for RDM's main rotation to be composed of both. Given the lack of mobility, it might be a good idea to focus on either making it possible to move while casting, somehow, or maybe shorten casting times to increase the general DPS and give more opportunities to be able to move? Again, still leveling the job, so don't take my word as the truth. Just tossing my two cents in; would love to see RDM get some love.
