I think I came across a bug when I beat the game. I got the credits and I thought I unlocked post game content but then I got roped into a side story that involved Ishgard and their king but after I beat that side content the credits rolled again. I thought "Huh, that's weird." and then after the bugged credits finished, the side story had more quests to do! Is there a reason the game keeps false flagging me into thinking I beat it by adding the credits in the middle of the story?
Um. The pod mount is from MGP, you can just buy it for 300k MGP at the Gold Saucer. Is every single person in this thread including the OP confusing the mount for the minion, which drops from the first Nier alliance raid?
With false information like a significant amount of the posts in this thread I'm not surprised the OP is as confused as he is about the game.

This is a product of the development cycle of patch story arcs as released. When a major story arc concluded (2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, etc) there would be credits.
There are credits at the end of an expansion. There are credits after the x.3 patch which concludes the story arc for that expansion. There are credits right before the next expansion. Repeat.
The story that comes after the credits is not a side story, but the next chapter of the main story.
I don't recall there being credits at x.3 patches.
I know if can be hard to imagine for players used to other MMOs like WoW but there really is more to the game than just grinding out ilvl.
