If SCH needs anything fixed, how about changing freaking Broil into something more original. If i want to play SCH in PvP, the LAST thing i want to be reminded of is that Broilspam is still a thing in 2022.

Thing about Bio is it's not upfront, it's over time.
If you had 10 people all grouped up and 4 of any other job hit you with some AoE you'd have a lot of deaths all the same. Difference is other jobs attacks are front loaded with lower potency and SCH's is over time with a higher potency but they have to do 2-3 buttons to get decent damage out of it because without that it's only 15K over 15s which is 1/3 of the lowest hp job's bar.
Point is: Don't stay grouped up, you're begging to get aoe blasted at that point.
Exactly how is that "cheesing the system"? It's a dot, dots stack just like regens do. Don't be salty because you died to a healer attack.
Regular Biolysis is a total of 15,000 damage
Add recitation: it becomes 22,500 damage
Add BH5 into the mix: it becomes 22,500 damage.
Add both recitation and BH5: it becomes 33,750 damage.
BUT, all those damage are spread evenly across 15 seconds. They are not upfront damage like burst damages. If players in PvP need 10-15 seconds to realize they have DoT ticking on them, then they really have to be more aware of their surrounding. There is no fix to lack of awareness.
I have no doubts those same players won't even know what killed their group within 1 - 5 seconds of cc window but then won't think that's unfair at all.
I would love to be in a group like that and I'm sure you would to, but we both know that unless you go in there with those people and that same intent, it's not gonna happen. You still have to deal with carrying the other two parties that may or may not know what they're doing. Add to that the fact that you're one of the squishier targets even with shielding and no status effects in your arsenal.
Yes, but that's from ONE Scholar not 5. 5 Recited Biolysis DoTs on you deal 22500 damage every 3 seconds. Even just three Recited Biolysis DoTs on you is oppressive at 13500 damage every 3 seconds. 3 Recited Biolysis's chunk 21% of a Warrior's health pool every 3 seconds. That Warrior's dead in 14 seconds if they have no MP to use Recuperate. 3 Recited Biolysis DoTs will kill anyone with less than 53000 HP in less than 12 seconds.
The DoT is manageagle at 2 but the moment you go to 3, let alone 5, it's too much. It either needs a hard target cap of 5, 8 or 10, or the DoT can no longer be stacked or the DoT needs to be able to be cleansed with Purify.
Let's just say it could remove the DoT: People just blew their Purify, that's on a long 30s cooldown, on cleansing a DoT, that can be reapplied in another 15 seconds, instead of breaking out of cc. I'd say that's a win for SCH because that person won't have Purify available to break out of cc if they elect to use Purify to remove Biolysis.
You are trying really hard because realistically, how often are you going to be hit by more than 2 biolysis in ANY pvp mode? SCH is still a rarity compared to WHM, SUM and WAR. and if you get hit by more, it is because you were grouped up too much. If anything, you are making niche bookclub parties appealing.
Go for it. The more it happens the more light is shed on it and the more likely it or battle high five gets nerfed. I only played SCH in frontlines, until I got so annoyed at WHM with it's LB that I leveled WHM to 30 just to abuse it in frontlines, and still want it nerfed.
While what you're saying is not entirely wrong, I still fail to see the point of needing to nerf them. From my experience spamming frontlines (I shamelessly spam it my way up to series lv30 with minimum CC done and still going on), I have seen just as much attempt to stack 5 or more SCHs foiled, simply by telling the alliance of their presence and marking them. Seen our WARs/RDMs/SMNs specifically try to cc them when they dash forward. Seen DRGs coordinating their jumps to obliterate them while entirely negating their ticking DoT. Seen WHMs sniped them even before they are in range to spread their Bio. Seen people actually try to keep good distance to minimize the spreading potential. Seen people actually back off immediately before the ticks gets problematic.
Something as busted as WHM's 40y overtuned LB still causes more wipes than SCH's Biospread and people want to nerf the latter? Apologies, I just can't buy that. To me that just sounded like "I hate that my teammate are tunnel visioning that they can't notice the ticking DoTs. Please nerf!!"
I'd love to see Battle High gets nerfed in some way. At least remove the increased HP recovery. I'd like to think increased damage taken but I think that would be too much.
