And that would be fine for people who want to continue to do it that way.
The idea was mainly to add another option (not take away options) that adds a layer of challenge and some sort of reward for it.

it is fine but its forced on you, even if your others jobs are better equiped and your used to them alot more.Quote:

How about we just make the dungeons unfriendly to parties who class stack to the extreme. Hell having a few of the same class/job is fine but the dungeon should have a balance of close and ranged apropriate combat. Completable by both setups but obviously favoring a balanced setup instead of being heavy in one aspect or another.
that doesn't fix the source of problems.
i only hope SE can balance the job/class asap.
only part of this I am for is not being able to change jobs while in the dungeons. Except maybe going from its job to base class and vice versa. Why? I don't know it just irks me the wrong way. But it is not my place to decide how people play the game. It is the Dev teams decision
This is the right idea, allow you to stack but to get the most out of a dungeon. Have them designed where every DoW/DoM job has a needed purpose.
But you also don't want it to be where you need every job in your party, because it would take longer to make a party if you had to find a specific class to fill out your group just because of some arbitrary requirement
its at least a better system than speed run so im for it
Too artificial of a solution, IMO. I'd rather they focus more on making classes more attractive, rather than SE essentially bribing people with extra items to take some class out of a mix of pity and greed.
But, both new raids already done this..
In CC, melee DPSs down princess but you still want few BLMs to get rid of minions.
Chimera also goes down way faster with MNK/LNC meleeing it and dangers for melee DPS only comes from Voice of Ram and Poison Sting which both easily avoidable with half a brain.
In AV, Coincounter takes about the same damage for both magic and melee, he have 2 AoEs that can hits ranged classes or melee classes. Misser is weak to any damage, very melee friendly but still requires you to have one BLM to sleep off minions for safer run.
The only reason people stack BLMs is because it takes skill to fail as BLM.
and Garuda of course, you need at least 2 melee DPS and 2 BLM to succeed.
You are asking SE to make incentives to exclude classes/jobs from a party right now it is player choice your suggestion would open a whole new can of worms and would replace one problem with another problem. you are essentially asking SE to make player exclusion official. They should focus on making content equally hard for melee and ranged classes not finding ways to exclude people.
