Why no new servers? Not just this launch but the last 8 months?

Meanwhile China has been making moves from years prior for exactly what is going on and is set to topple Taiwan in semi-conductor production as well as the country leaning into a huge political advantage on the west and worldwide.
I'll never understand why many can't see the forest for the trees, but 'covid-19' has done wonders for the world-market and governments at large and most have been making moves before it ever started.

I work in electronics manufacturing for a small, but successful business and we produce PCB with thousands of ICs per board. We have yet to have our workload altered by this 'shortage' and I've seen more than enough folk have issues with getting tech simply due to scalping.
It's almost mind-numbing having to see people parrot the same thing for nearly two years without taking a moment to ask themselves why they keep repeating what they're told to say

Personally, I blame block-chain-based Finance for all of it.

Semi-conductor shortage. They can get them but it would mean paying more than normal so nooope.

Yoshi came out and said that they even offered to buy the servers at well above market rates just to get servers to players and still couldn't secure a supply.

Money can't make products appear out of thin air.

Even Amazon is suffering from shortages, even where I work we're suffering from shortages. The pandemic has changed the lifestyle of billions, so many online now they rarely were, using online services and features. I work for a company that does Cloud computing, competed with Amazon of all things, and we have had an influx of over 500% in users in just 1 year. No one used cloud computing that much before! lol

I see what y'all are saying about supply shortages but your telling me that they couldn't prepare better knowing this was coming. You can't honestly tell me they didn't know since the WoW refugee influx that they didn't know or didn't have enough time to prepare for this launch. For me things still haven't been the same since the last time queues were insane. I am willing to accept a lot and have a lot of patience. I honestly don't want a refund or want to end my subscription. What I do want is more then same response they gave after the last time we were in this situation. I want them to acknowledge this is a sh!t show and that they are going to do something about it. I really enjoy this game and appreciate the hard work as well as the dedication they have put into this game. I like many others are frustrated that it seems that this is an issue that should be solved but isn't being done in a good or expedient way.

Whats even more amusing to me than the fact that SQenix has repeatedly warned us about server trouble (Even going above and beyond in explaining the technical reasons why we're having this trouble) is that there exists people who STILL believe that "Just throw more servers at it" will resolve queues instantly.

My server (Hyperion) had a queue of 2700 the moment the servers went live post maint. Was in that queue for about 30 minutes.
The only thing thats going to reduce queues is to move people to different, less populated servers. Which can be done with new servers of course. But it takes time for people to flow to those new servers. Which means they'll still be stuck on a high pop high queue server even if SQenix managed to double the server count right now.
But dont tell them that, you'll just confuse them XD
