I didn't think to post this earlier, but I wanted to add that you need to beat an entire 30 carnival trials in order to be rewarded with the job's Angel Whisper spell; since that's currently the job's only method of being able to raise someone in an instance, that makes it an extremely important spell to have in parties, especially in Blue Mage groups that are trying to earn titles or the difficult-to-acquire Morbol mount that you keep bringing up. It's incredibly helpful for multiple people to earn it as well since the cooldown for said spell has an incredibly high recast time, so each person with the spell unlocked realistically only gets to cast it once per battle, maybe twice if someone dies really early on.Quote:

Blue got a lot of content this expansion but with it being currently 70 they can only do a level up once for Endwalker which means BLU will either get a single update or multiple but without involving leveling up
Now assuming it will only get a single update, it leaves a lot of place for the Beast Master. If Beast Master is to come it would be in an odd numbered patch so 6.1 6.3 or 6.5
When it comes to gameplay I personally would really like to see some sort of pokémon-like minigame (because it will be a minigame) or something along the line of WoFF.
For those who know WoW, a more elaborate pet battle would probably fit the job quite well in a sens.
You go out to catch your beast and do beast battle and you collect more beast, gotta catch them all you know.
Just add some sort of tournament and pvp and I'm pretty sure A LOT of players would enjoy it.
(then add shiny beast and it's done we have a whole community around it)
Anyway, in case of Beast Master I'm convinced it's more a matter of when than if.
It is the most requested limited job and it has no overlap with the current bluemage beside maybe a bit of collection so beside them not wanted another limited job, there is no reason for us to never see it. -

When Limited Jobs were first announced, Beastmaster and Puppetmaster were mentioned as potential candidates to join the limited roster. Very little, if anything, has been said since that initial announcement. What that means is hard to say. Have those future plans been scrapped? Put on indefinite hold? Or has the current state of the world forced them to cut or delay content so that they could meet their deadline for Endwalker? Perhaps time will tell.
It's important to note that SE plans and develops content well in advance. I would not be surprised if, at the time of Blue Mage's announcement, they had already started production on the level 70 content. Everything we have seen up until this point was likely already part of a set schedule. Development time had already been spent. And if that is indeed the case, we have yet to see how SE will move forward in response to the wave of feedback they received. We've played our hand and it's up to SE to make the next move.
I would not consider it safe to assumption that more Limited Jobs will be added. Only one other case comes to mind in terms of experimentation with the job system and that was tying Summoner and Scholar to the same base class. At the time, they planned to do that with other combat classes. Perhaps even all of them. But in the end, they did it once, then backed out.
If we see no more Limited Jobs, I for one will be relieved. This comes from someone who used to main both Blue Mage and Puppetmaster back in FFXI. Those jobs may be less "cookie cutter" than most and to stay true to their design while integrating them into FFXIV would be a challenge. However, I do not believe that Limited Jobs are the answer. -

As a side note, I would prefer that "limited jobs" be called something else; it's a pretty negative name that undersells how fun and useful said jobs can be for Party Finder instances and field content, plus they have their own content that's unique to them too.

Fisher has "unique content" in the form of ocean and spear fishing yet we don't call it a limited gatherer. If you think anyone would seriously let a blue mage into a grinding party for old content, I have to question whether you've actually used party finder to unsync old stuff.
If a blue mage tried to meme their way into a Suzaku EX farm, I'd kick and blacklist them on the spot. Limited jobs have a negative name attached to them because they are objectively handicapped and cannot access relevant content in the current expansion, or even content they'd be good at in previous ones. Blue mage can graduate from being called a limited job when it can play with other jobs normally. Masked carnival is a boring slog to get through at best, all for the sake of a raise spell. Other than that, there isn't much going for it.
As for beast master, please if you want to add it just clone WoW's beast mastery hunter instead of making another system that won't survive past 2 weeks. 80/20 rule here. A minority of blue mages who insist on gatekeeping the job and forcing it to be "so special and unique!" that is turning off most of the playerbase should not be the sole voice heard on this matter. More people want to see full jobs than content with as short a half life as blue mage patches. -

Well, that seems uncalled for. If you don't want Blue Mages in your party, then specify what roles are allowed when making the party; otherwise, kicking and blacklisting them for your own mistake is pretty rude. If you're not the party leader and don't want Blue Mages in the party despite the leader being fine with them, then will all due respect, go find another party. Kicking someone for harassment despite them not harassing someone is a reportable offense too.Quote:

I do not believe that you are joining EX farm parties on your datacenter as a blue mage. You can kick anyone from a party for any reason if it falls under a difference of playstyle.
