I don't mind them since they are cool to me since all their other animations are less on the flashy side and heated clean shot fits machinist nature the most and also pushes them back when you do the shot, its a nice way to add flair to their shots. Though i wouldn't mind them adding back the animation for rend mind in place of heated splitshot

Also to be honest Machinist in the past was boring as hell aesthetic-wise. Nothing was impressive-looking about it with the stiff animations in HW. I like the more exaggerated approach with the animations.

They practically also gave Machinist a second gun that can change around depending on the skill you use, which is clever design to me.

its not tacked on you say? the four major "gadget" skills we got in SHB what would MCH loose if it lost any of them Drill, Bio, Auto and Air. the execution is very much tacked on in the context of the job not the lore. 50 MCH plays essentially identical to 80. And i would say not much disregarding numbers. Air is only relevant because Hot shot upgrades into it which seems rather off hand aswell

that thing isnt a gun its a tool, not to say even with my contrarian instincts that i disagree the design is pretty cool

Heated animations were only good because it was earned, MCH overall doesnt have that "working for a higher goal" mentality that all jobs have and goes to the most accessible level possible by having everything as soon as you can, you dont earn drill you dont earn your tool skills or your battery skills, the only thing earned is lead shot which they renamed Queen for some reason and comes and goes so fast it hardly is a high point. MCH will either stagnate or have a hidden rework , id love for them to finish MCH as it feels fragmented as all hell. But ive had blood rage for this since launch and i know im in the minority SE needs to know when making things easier you also need to make it fun. Everyone can ride a training wheel bike but id much rather drive a motorcycle

I really dislike the flipping around as soon as you enter battle. It sort of worked when heated shots were a temporary state you built up to, but running towards the enemy and immediately doing a sideways flip looks silly.

not even close, ur flip and junk as your MAIN rotation, BRD is grounded with nice flare without overstating its welcome. and even then MCH has access to all of its moves besides Heat blast the most boring skill in its kit and turrret a skill that is like a less impressive Living shadow and a Bahamut with less to worry about. The accessible Bahamut if you will

which is one of MCh many issues for me personally, absolutely nothing feels earned. This lack of structure made me retire to other jobs. One could argue the turret feels earned but that argument dies when all it amounts to is a dot with less showtime than living shadow and less impact than Demis

SO how new jobs work is that they break away from established jobs, RNG was MCH thing until DNC came along. MCH was far more frequent with 15/ 30sec CD for reloading and it was done in a better way than DNC rng being random until lv72 with only 1 method to control ever minute

thinking about it now idk why they dont add it back inevitably MCH 5.0 mains will rage being so spoiled but it would spice up the mundane rotation MCH has which is blander than most tanks. and in return we can have a more fluid rotation split slug split style but idk if anyone liked the ammo system tbh

I don't even know where my turret is most of the time. Not that it really matters, but it makes that little visual impact.

The turret was always a DoT since its inception in HW You just don't have it out the entire fight. You actually see the queen the same amount if not more than Living shadow since LS has a 120 second timer while queen has should be used every 60 seconds and shouldn't be compared to demis since they arn't close to demis they are closer to egis.

The ammo system wouldn't really fit with current machinist imo. The RNG element of mch wasn't the most interesting thing ever about it but more maintaining the heat to keep your heated shots until you needed to go into your burst phase which heat blast is supposed to simulate making it so it's less bland than in sb since you're using heat blast way more imo.
