Problem with what you posted. Is that its just an image. With no other information. I was just expecting a webpage link.

It says dps, but doesnt show whats personal and whats including raid contribution from TA, Lit, etc. What comps they are in, is anyone buffing numbers etc. Id assume the 95th percentile is higher gears, more efficient comp etc. But doesnt SHOW us.

If this is showing us the factored dps (personal dps plus what they provode to raid added in) then it actually shows disparity.

Lets take the two lowest melee on this chart. Who would you bring? Sam or Nin? Off this chart, sam, because if this is rdps, then the nins contribution is already rolled into their number, and shows that even after "helping the raids dps" it provides less rdps overall than a sam. Nin has no other use than trick, which doesnt increase rdps past what a sam can selfishly do, so NIN isnt wanted. This is also a high movement fight, which im assuming is why all the non melee are so low, because none of their numbers make sense for how strong they do in a more stand and dps fight.

A NIN according to your chart would not help anyone clear a raid any faster than the other melee. Ranged do a lot more damage than this on other fights. NIN doesnt have any other reason to do less dps anymore, as even factoring in rdps, they still do less. No benefit from dps stand point (trick is just to make your numbers bigger tho not killing things any faster as a whole) and no other tool kit to warrent the "utility tax"

Maybe higher gear tiers will male up the difference, but there is a reason MOST are upset with the way NIN is.

Also, i am unsure as to why ranged IS so low on that fight. Nornally high movement is where you see physical ranged excel.. i wonder what about this fight does that...

Look, Ninja has been hurting since Early Access release. We're now a month into the official release of the expansion and with 5.05 we were expecting to see buffs that would have put us on the playing field once again, despite the loss of much of our toolkit. Shadewalker, Smokescreen, Dripping Blades, Goad, Slashing Debuffs, all this stuff. There was a lot of utility behind Ninja before and while Ninja didn't have the greatest DPS in the past, it thrived because it was useful. Now its usefulness is shot and we still don't have the damage to compete with every other job. You are legitimately better off taking nearly anything else than a Ninja right now because the job has been mishandled so much with Shadowbringers.

That's one thing, but then you have to keep in mind update schedules. The next time we're projected to see any changes will be with 5.1, which is 3-4 months away depending on how long SE's development team needs to recover after the release of an expansion. Lots of people were counting on this update to make lasting change for the job because the alternative is to wait several months, which is an eternity in a living game like an MMO.

You can say "suck it up, deal with it like an adult and move on," but that really just shows lack of consideration and empathy on your part.

Your explanation tells me that you really havent even tried to learn your own class goad was next to useless 90% of the time before stormblood was even in its quarterway patch dripping blades was baked into the kit ages ago, you lost the slashing debuff yeah I'll agree that is a hit. but you still kept trick attack which in 8 man is probably one of the best abilities. Now if you had said Ninja sucks in 4 man I would have agreed with that 100% but in the content where it counts 8 man and upcoming 24 Man ninja is absolutely a job that anyone would be glad to have with them.
The fact that you expected they would raise the damage output to much higher levels is your own wishful thinking and not very good wishful thinking because they absolutely wont do that unless until they plan on removing trick attack, because then ninja will have nothing to bring to the table and will become a selfish DPS. I should fair hope that rather than major buffs that you guys ask for a trick attack cool down reduction and time up increase to 20 seconds. Maybe a slow baked into on of your damage options yeah it might seem like forever but for the love of the twelve ninja has one of the most fun series of rotations in the game.

NIN lost 20% of their overall physical damage with the loss of Dripping Blades trait, they also lost Duality which was their regular burst button. So an extra 50 potency to one hit in their combo is not going to fix much. The potencies were already increased to try to counterbalance slashing resist being gone but overall they just need more to make up what they once had.

NIN is only above RDM on leviathan and loses on all other fights, especially on the EX Trial fights.

In term of DPS,NiN have to press like 8 buttons to match RDM’s 3 buttons.....

Trying out Ninja, I can agree it needs some changes. A 20s Trick Attack with the damage increase nerfed to 5% might feel a lot better. I haven't gotten Bunshin yet and it's still a weird process of casting Ninjutsu right away after using Kassatsu. Casting the Ninjutsu itself barely fits with 2 mudras and clips the GCD with 3 mudras. I am unsure if I can even fit Dream within a Dream with Assassinate anymore once I get Bunshin. We have 2 Kassatsus to use in the burst window.

The kicker is our Trust Rogue NPC has the 20s Trick Attack I want >.>
