Based on some of the responses here, it's sounding to me like the Dancer is more complex than it initially seems.
I tend to prefer simple jobs, but I'll give it try! Maybe I'll still enjoy it enough to try to git gud.

Go take a nap.
Also, full offense and a full attempt to hijack this thread, congratulations to everyone who reached level 70 on Dancer yesterday! I didn't go to sleep until I did and it was worth it! I'm also among that slice of people that are switching from being a Bard main to Dancer, and I plan to take dancer into the Eden raids as well. ; u ; It'll be my first time savage raiding, so I'm really excited!
Honestly it is very simple to play at a level of basic competency. The complexity comes from trying to maximize your DPS through specific timing on technical finish (right before standard is back up so you hit it during the extra damage window) and hoarding feathers to unload right after that with all your procs with devilment up. Of course weaving them in between GCD skills.
You can't hold more than 4 so it pays to use one every time you have a proc up to possibly get the 4th feather back.
TLDR: You have a burst window
I actually love it. I love how busy it is with all those procs and the likes.
Are you finding Dancer easier than Bard, Gihwezi? I started as a Bard, myself, but later dropped it because I found it too complex for me to play well in a party situation. Very easy to play solo, but much harder to use well in a dungeon.
I'm the sort of lazy player who plays games to relax, rather than to overcome great challenges, but I still want to do well and be an asset to my party.
Dancer is definitely easier than Bard (or 4.0 Bard, I haven't gotten a chance to level it yet, too busy with dancer :) ) by a long shot. I used to be a ninja main and then toyed with samurai for a bit ( which is still my second go-to job, I love Sam so much ) and then discovered Bard after finally giving up being too stubborn to level archer. Like some other people have said, Dancer is really, really beginner friendly, it may look like a lot at first but things start to click as you mess with it a little. To me, Dancer is all about finding that flow and grove, and once you're familiar with the moves, it all seems to just click into place!
I think you'll do fine in dungeons with it imo, the job is very forgiving even if you mess up, and it sort of leads you to what you should be doing next.
