As a caster main and healer alt, I can understand why these job are not attractive enough for a cinematic trailer. It's ok for a short scene (look at Y'shtola in the ShB trailer), it would be boring otherwise.
It's alright, you'll get over it.

I'd say 1.0 and ARR were more than just one Job, actually... Yes Derplander was an Archer for 1.0 and Warrior for ARR, but his friends were in those trailers as well, showing off those jobs; including mages.

Honestly, I never really understood the shift towards only having Derplander in the trailers... For Heavensward, and potentially Shadowbringers, I guess it makes sense, since there was a sense of loss and isolation leading up to those expansions. Although on that note, I guess the Scions are fairly prominent in the Shadowbringers trailer, although only Thancred really does anything... Still, the Scions are NPCs, I'd like to see a return to Derplander and friends, since this is a MMO after all... The trailers should highlight that IMO, right now all we get is "You can be a <insert Job here> like Derplander", while I feel like 1.0 and ARR were more "You can be a Warrior, your friends can be Paladins and Black Mages and Bards".
