If the competition was only legit players, then maybe, but the markets on most high pop servers and even a lot of mid/low pop servers are dominated by bot farmers who sell at a price point that's unreasonably low compared to the value of mats used for a craft as well as the amount of time that needs to be spent gathering/crafting.

As it stands currently, this only benefits the consumers and hurts the crafters, while further empowering the bots (And by extension, RMTers, as a fair number of these guys are in it for that purpose).

You can literally remove almost all your furniture, load up your retainers and make 3m gil free. But if your house is more important than loosing the ability to play with a few friends who are already on a different server and having the ability to meet thousands of new friends than building lasting relationships in an mmo is not your priority anyway.

Overall this is for the greater good of the game and not to many ppl are going to suffer. They are even doing a lot more than they should to compensate. However we all know the few that do suffer are going to be amazingly loud about it because they, as an individual, are more important than the health of the game they claim to love so very much.

Guess what? all those scary erpers you are scared of have 2 weeks to transfer, if they have problems finding groups for even the most basic stuff, what do you think is going to happen?

No it is not a free 3 M gil, I would have to spend lots of time moving things to retainers and in the event i do find a new house, move everything back. You are basically making me lose 20-100 million gil due to the lost time and the lost space I need to clog my retainers with.

Seeing where you are from and the bias attacks to RP servers, I am sure you will freely put down people not liking this that are being forced on crystal and forced to make preparations and decisions we should not have to be making, all because SE wants to take the cheapest route of solving something.

Also the 2 weeks is BS, what happens after the 2 weeks I find out I end up not liking the result and need to transfer? This was very poorly thought out

Datacenter isn't going to be so destitute of people that you won't be able to queue for any duty. And if you mean people to carry "you", then "you" have several months to improve "your" skill level

If you earn that much in that time frame, that loss won't make a dent in your finances.

Yes, because SE totally forced people to even use exploits and circumvent the lock in place just to get into Balmung, right? It's not any of the players flocking like locusts into an already bloated server, even though others gave plenty of warning this would happen's fault. It's so easy to blame everything on SE and exempt players from any personal responsability, isn't it?

You have months until the move happens to plan out and think out what you're going to do. If you end up not liking it, you take it like a responsible adult and you blame yourself for a poorly thought out transfer. You don't blame SE for making you transfer, because they didn't force you to transfer. You made that decision, not them.

I see blaming SE for everything and avoiding any player responsability is a theme with you.

SE isn't doing this to be mean and cruel to you and your friends. This is an inevitable thing that needs to happen sooner than later.

well i kinda feel SE did things in the wrong order that would have prevented all of this drama to begin with. instead of opening datacenter party finder first, they should have did the shuffle first, then allow world visits then datacenter party finder and finally crossworld friendlist/linkshells. in this order recruiting for statics would still require a world transfer to join up. basically giving the ultimatum for the person who wish to join a high level static or group, and this wouldn't allow players to create bonds/friendships with players from other servers who either refuse to leave their world cause they dont want to or they have too much to lose.

Doing this split after cross-realm duty finder an expansion ago is one thing, but considering that SE literally just gave us cross-realm linkshells maybe two patches ago, means that this was either a really short-sighted decision they thought up after CWLS, or maybe they should have mentioned the incoming tear-apart before putting in even more tools to form cross-realm friendships/networks/etc with.

We've seen time and again that this does not work. If they make new servers, people won't move. If they lock the high population servers, people complain until they're re-opened. The only way to solve the overpopulation issue is to forcibly move people.

And yeah, for the players who have friends/raid members that are getting moved to different data centers, it sucks. But this is a no-win situation, where somebody is going to get screwed, no matter what. And it's either the relatively few people who can't cross-world communicate anymore, or literally every person that plays this game.

I really don't see what the issue is, free world transfers all around, and the only thing you can't bring with you is your house which is going to be refunded, so the worst case scenario is having to redecorate.

And then just completely ignoring the fact that we potentially might not have to deal with another Raubahn Extreme and the like, and how inventory issues could be alleviated?

Gil is not the ISSUE! getting a house is! there is not enough plots, what about FC housing? the fc shop progress?

I rather deal with "another Raubahn Extreme" ( and this can be easily prevented by not having a MSQ instance so early, something else the playerbase told SE) then deal with all these new problems with this change, and players have also spoke on what those problems are, and I am not the only one posting here dealing with "another Raubahn Extreme" for 2 weeks is much better then years of damages.
