I think in a lot of these threads, there are a lot of complaints about people “having to pay” $50~150 USD for a minion or an emote, so, for some, the shiny extras are a deciding factor in buying the merchandise. They buy it just for the minion/emote, and then complain that the minion cost them $50, or the emote cost them $150. But, like I added into my previous post, the issue is people placing the value on the extras, not on the actual merchandise itself.


The “unpopular” aspect of my opinion is the adding them to the cash shop part. Inevitably, the moment someone makes that suggestion, people flock to the thread to defend this idea of “exclusivity”. I’ve never been a fan of exclusivity when it comes to vanity items, so it doesn’t matter to me if SE wants to put them in the Mogstation. But a lot of people get all up in arms about the very idea that their Wind-up Dalamud won’t be “exclusive” anymore. (To which I say, if an item loses its value to you just because people are able to obtain it later, then it probably didn’t have that much “value” to you before, other than some source of virtual bragging rights...which no one but you even cared about.)

Healers need that potency otherwise they couldn't fix mistakes.

Some hypothetical numbers. The tank takes 10k damage per auto attack, has 50k HP. Currently one healer heals for about 10k. Let's nerf them to 7.5k.

Now two DPS just ate a 24k damage hit from not dodging a mechanic. They can self heal 6.5k. lets say they suffer 15k damage total. That's 4 gcds healers would have to make up to get them back up. that means the tank will be down 10k damage if one healer still heals nonstop. And now the 40k tank buster is coming up.

You'd wind up making it so that DPS couldn't make any mistakes, or it would lead into a situation where the healer just couldn't keep up, and there'd be more deaths. Or say the tank screwed up a cooldown, and took 20k more damage, the healers can't fix that; it would eventually lead into a wipe. It's really hard to tune that without making each job self-contained and solely responsible for its own role, with no other way to compensate for it. It would also work in other ways; healers couldn;t help with DPS checks since we use more GCDs for healing, and tanks stay in tank stance more because without it they take too much damage.

I personally wish they would tune down the FF 6 references. We already have a whole country that plays very important role in the story, 4 eidolons exclusive to FF 6 (Warring Triad + Lakshmi), a mount with FF 6's signature theme, FF 6's boss battle music, arguably every dungeons related to Garlemald, and now we're getting phantom train and Kefka.

It's not that I hate FF 6 or anything (it was before my time but my older brother said it was brilliant and I believe him), but when there are other FF games that barely have any references in the game such as 8 9 10 and 13, you would've thought they would focus on these instead.

To be fair, XIII had an event that occurred 2~3 times in the past. FFX was the “theme” for last year’s round of fan fest (but I would love to see more aspects of FFX in FFXIV because it’s my favorite Final Fantasy, probably because it was the first one I ever played—minus Blitzball because I abhorred Blitzball in FFX and I do not want to see it added to FFXIV lol).

I’m honestly surprised there hasn’t been any FFXV representation in FFXIV yet, to be frank. There was such a demand for a FFXV cross-over event, and I think the developers said something about maybe doing it “after everyone had had time to enjoy the game”, but I haven’t heard of anything about it since.


I’ve never played FFVIII or FFIX, but some representation outside of Veteran’s Reward outfits would be nice.

Speaking of other FF representations, I actually do NOT want to see FFVII in the third tier of Omega. :x I like FFVII and all, but too much of a good thing, is a thing. I just think it would fall flat, to be honest. Or be ridiculously cheesy, or have that “overrated” feel to it. I’d prefer to see FFX, honestly. But I’m biased. :3

Most of high lvl stuff and armour looks like total garbage and ultra unrealistic it hurts my medieval-loving soul.

The blade is simple and should look sharp, not like 5 ton junk, medival swords were lighter than katanas however in this game is exactly opposite.
Why does SE made katanas look nice, but cant do a stupid swords (or axes) look like the real weapons i have no idea.

Oh and those armours with thousands spikes and other bullshit, give me one real plate armour please, im not asking for ten or hundred, just one would be enough for glamour...

1. Making my WoL make such crappy decisions. Look. If a friend of mine is getting in trouble or what not, having me RUN is the last thing I would be doing (unless I know it is something I can't handle etc). I think I've yelled at my pc screen enough my husband hides.

2. Why is it, when we go into dungeons that are lower than us, we all of a sudden get amnesia and forget skills? Why don't we just get a 'lesser version' of them like EverQuest2 does? God it is annoying when you go from being strong and able to hold your own, to OMFG I can't hold HATE. Ugh.

3. Tanks who don't ask a group if they want large or small pulls. Look, dudes .. srsly. Just because you see you have a particular healing class in your group doesn't mean they will keep up with your sprinting ahead and grabbing 7 damn mobs. It's stupid. And half the time, the healer doesn't have the skills the tank thinks they do.

4. DPS that decide that the tank isn't pulling fast enough and goes and tanks themselves. Or the tank is new and won't be patient. Guess what .. I don't heal you. Learn to be patient.

Mythril set, Cobalt set, High Mythril etc. They do exist.
