Yeah as a str tank with 1 320 ring on (i dont have the alexander ring) with food buff I sit right at 40k and nothing even comes close to taking half my health in either of the new extremes

You won't have it up for every trash pull and it only just keeps your aggro in check for a small time, the reliability is only keeping you in check during large mob burns and openers when you're typically popping everything to maximize output in such a short window. Even if you have used it during a normal pull, if the tank were not maintaining their enmity then they would still easily lose aggro. It's just a minor tool used to keep things going steady, nothing that amazing.
That so lame. Like, if the content was too difficult due to weakness debuff... Stop effin' dying!
No the solution is my fellow dps use their dang emnity reducers. It's what we've been given them for. Too many dps players now have utility via the role skills and are refusing to use them too. Everyone needs to adjust their thinking. SE changed the playing field time we adapt.
This not a slight against any potential warrior issues, but I think many folks are ignoring the changes and trying to play like they did in HW.
To be honest, I don't even want to slot Provoke lol. I know I'll have to at some point, but come on how can you not love having all those extra def cds on war! Rampart, Conv, Awareness to pair with Raw Intuition, an additional parry CD. Now I don't remember the 5th skill I took, but it wasn't provoke!
I haven't really went back to mess with my drg much to see what all cross class skills there are, I know I slotted the usual Invigorate and Goad. Pretty sure I didn't take the threat reduction since drg has Elusive Jump (which I always used if I noticed I was getting close on threat). So I could possible understand if there are good dps cds, I'd rather take them instead of threat modifiers. Unless they are absolutely necessary for a particular instance, like provoke would be.
Well, I don't know. I mean, I always took a bit of pride having more threat than the other dps lol
But I agree overall, it's on the dps to keep an eye on threat too, even before all the tools. Not only that but to watch what the other dps is attacking as well. As a tank, nothing gets on my nerves more than the dps nuking different targets... Do we really need to bust the markers back out? Lol
I just started leveling ROG/NIN and I noticed a skill Smokescreen. If I read it correctly I can reduce the enmity generation of someone else? Like, that legit sounds awesome. I want to use that, lol. If it makes it so someone else can go ham w/o worry I'm all for it. Playing DPS I know how it feels when you feel like you have to delay or hold back your burn. I remember folks who played WoW would tell me they had to do that early on in their years, like actually pace themselves beyond their cooldowns. Seriously sounded dumb.
